These are sweet. It's the little things that we need.

DH and I went out for coffee and cake this afternoon at a new place near us. I had a really gorgeous thing with fresh strawberries and he had some sort of chocolatey choux bun. God I love cake. (And DH I suppose)

My young Weimaraner girl comes with me wherever I go around the house. She likes to check out what I’m doing, then just lies beside me until I’ve finished whatever it is. The only exception is when my DH is working in the garden when she plays the role of his assistant. If he’s digging, she digs the hole too. When he’s mowing the lawn, she walks up and down by his side 😌😍

We just got back from six weeks of traveling. We had a great time (we were visiting family, but also managed to fit in some vacation) but it is lovely to be home, particularly as our little dog is so pleased to see us. When we came in, she was wagging her tail so much that her whole body was wiggling. I really missed her.

My adult dd friends ( friends since age 12 ish) gave me a lovely birthday card and gift, they wrote in the card happy birthday to our second mum. It was so thoughtful and unexpected. They are lovely young women and its been lovely watching them start to lead independent lives, moving out, dating, holidays, job interviews/ promotions ect and last week they had a sleepover watching their favourite films, things they did as teenagers with the exception of added wine! The 6 of them camped out in the living room and had a great time x

Found 50% off £10 jeans in Sainsbury's and they fit!!!! Perfectly like a glove.

Had a free house this afternoon, reheated lovely homemade lasagne, made an ice coffee, got into PJ's and switched off. So relaxing, no stress, no chores, let everything just be still for a few hours and bask in tranquility

This morning, I woke up, used the bathroom and then got back into bed.

This was never, ever a possibility when I was with my ex as his controlling ways would never permit me a moment of unplanned relaxation.

Made final plans to pick up my blue eyed, blue merle Aussie puppy at the end of August. Soo excited!

My youngest grandchild has finally realised I'm not the big bad wolf and asked me to pick her up.

My 11 year old DS told me he loved me as I left for work this morning. He very rarely does that, unless I say it first ❤️

Our beautiful grandson told us that his favourite food is lomsters (“lobsters: though he’s never actually eaten lobster. He ate some crab 🤣)

but this morning we had success at 5 o'clock wake!

i saw a huge amount of deer yesterday, including one or two white deer!

My family came over for lunch yesterday and my eldest grandson gave me a big hug and a kiss and told me he loved me as they left. I had kisses from everyone but the eldest is nearly 14 and has been particularly teenagery recently so this was unexpected and made me very happy.

I have tears in my eyes because that's so cute and you and your dad have made the bees happy 🥹

I think I might be a bit hormonal 🤣
