Just listening to a few mins of the conversation. I switched off when he said he had 'catch and release' programmes running in Mexico. Like humans are wild animals. I'm not surprised he used the phrase but hearing it - nauseating. I'll stick with a fact check article.

The BBC report is useless (BBC Breakfast did an anodyne couple of sentences and said there was a full report on their website but when I checked it didn't actually add much, apart from a headline that it was a "friendly chat" and a throwaway comment that there was a series of unsubstantiated claims that went without challenge.
