My amazing team at work. I work in retail it's really tough. But the people I work with make it just bearable.

VanLife33 · 03/08/2024 21:07

I managed to get a good deal on train tickets to take dgc to London soon.
He’s getting older and more independent so days out together are precious.

My lovely dd and I went out shopping today, and I am thankful that I have enough money these days to be able to treat her to the really nice piece of furniture that she fell in love with.

Prontehpronto · 03/08/2024 21:13

I was able to swap a hand bag even though it was outside the returns period, small wins 🏆

Im sick in bed with an awful UTI. My lovely partner has been wonderful to me. Such a change from my ex husband who loved engaging in competitive illness.

Im grateful for him and my lovely cats who know something is up and are insisting on snuggling with me in bed

That I could afford to take my DC to the cinema and buy snacks. I don't take them many places like this due to the cost but I budgeted (worked extra in June) for it.

serialcatbuyer · 03/08/2024 21:18

My cats :)

DH and I found a new location to go paddle boarding. It was beautiful, really calm and serene. I'm grateful that we're able to share a hobby that gets us out in the fresh air for some fun and exercise.

Just thankful for life in general. I don’t earn the most, live in the nicest area or drive a fancy car but I’m alive, relatively healthy, have great family and friends and I know compared to some people in the world I’ve won the absolute jackpot with all of this.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 03/08/2024 21:23

Feeling a bit sick.

Sounds weird, eh? Well, I'm allergic to almost all antibiotics - proper, dangerous allergic reactions - and I was prescribed these on the basis of 'You'd better not be allergic to these as well'.

Instead of being ill, in pain, feeling awful and it getting worse, I'm sitting here feeling a bit sick. Which means I'm not allergic to them and they're working.

My lovely little home with my kids, yes it's a bit messy but it's ours and I love coming home to it everyday. Lovely thread x

My babies. My toddler was an absolute little superstar at a birthday party today. He can get a wee bit bolshy at times but he played so nicely and was kind to his little pals. I’m also 9 weeks pregnant after ttc for well over two years so that still feels absolutely miraculous! Plus I’m not so pukey this time around, so that’s much better!

MadameMassiveSalad · 03/08/2024 21:26

SUMMER.... My beautiful children, loving parents, thoughtful DH, friends & the best Dcat & Ddog 💖💖💖💖

SO excited about applying for another job…pays around £11,000 more than my current role ..just submitted application and can’t wait to find out whether I have an interview

BCBird · 03/08/2024 21:29

In Tesco a baby about 9 months was absolutely captivated by me- no idea why. Would not take his eyes off me. Made me grin. Lifted my mood.

WithIcePlease · 03/08/2024 21:30

A walk in the sun to local village to see a meeting of traction engines and a pint at the pub. It was lovely

serialcatbuyer · 03/08/2024 21:31

@CrispsnDips good luck

inquisitiveinga · 03/08/2024 21:36

My children, my partner, my home, ability to have fresh food and water every day... also living in a country that isn't war torn and where my family and I are safe

marcopront · 03/08/2024 21:37

My daughter has spent the last 10 days with her Dad but is coming home tomorrow.

My scaredy cat didn't run away when someone said hello to hers

What a lovely thread!

I had a cycle today, it rained at the start so we almost cancelled but then it dried up and we had 3 hours in the most lovely countryside. Then I watched some Olympics with my DSs - they were amazed that they are taller than Simone Biles. fabulous gold medal then by NI gymnast. Ireland is having a fabulous games. Then I had a swim in the Atlantic with a friend - really refreshing.

So... I am thankful for living in a healthy body that I can enjoy nature and the friends I have met with the same hobbies.

Decafflatteplease · 03/08/2024 21:40

What a lovely thread.

Me and the DC sat in the garden in the sun reading together and it was so simple but so lovely

TheDogsMother · 03/08/2024 21:43

Walked 20k steps today then had a lovely evening with a group of friends. I'd like to think all that walking will offset the wine but probably not.

PassingStranger · 03/08/2024 21:53

The weather, free blackberries. The Olympics. Love Sport.

Summerbaby81 · 03/08/2024 21:56

We are having a friend over for a sleepover (two seven year olds) it's been a lovely day, but I am now thankful for a glass of wine Smile
