I got instant Karma last night.

It was pissing down here and I was going to collect a takeaway. On the way I had to cross a road that has a very deep, very wide puddle, so I walked up the street a bit and began crossing the road

Next thing a car comes round the corner too quickly and the driver starts beeping. He kept beeping and revving his engine as I finished crossing. Dickhead!🙄

I got across and walked back down the street past the car. He beeped again. And then he turned on the engine which made a pleasant thunk before not doing much else. I heard another pleasant thunk as I turned the corner.😊

On my walk back, I saw he had managed to get the car out of the puddle. He was soaked half way to his knees and was being rained on as he shouted into a mobile phone and waved his arms around. The woman in the passenger seat was not happy.

I was.😂😂😂

I'm sorry you're feeling this way.

If it's any consolation I get it. We had years of health issues and diagnosis and none were good. I wanted to punch every single person that kept spouting about karma. All I could think is "I must be an awful person then".

Life is shit sometimes and unfair. But be proud of yourself you aren't out rioting blaming others who also have shit lives.

@pointythings so sorry that happened - stealing a wheelchair is low.
Have been feeling down about the mushrooming threads filed with bile. They seen to proliferate hourly. However, today at the hospital a HCA totally umprompted said how awful she thought the riots were and that they were racially motivated. She was white and was worried about taking her kids for days out. This is in an area close to significant disorder. There are other voices. The thugs rioting dont speak for the communities they are wrecking. Im not quite sure why but i was heartened to hear someone unresevedly condemning them and calling them outbfor what they are.

thats so shit @pointythings i dont use it every single day (mainly because i dont leave the house much) but the days i do go out, id be a mess without my wheelchair. hope its not too much faff getting a new one sorted

What must be doubly frustrating is that your ds' custom-built and expensive wheelchair will be sold on for peanuts. They won't know its true value.

Not in the same scale at all but I remember the frustration when my Friday Ford car was stolen and its contents thrown away. It was found again the following day I'd have preferred the insurance but the nearly finished cardigan that I had been laboriously knitting which was on the back seat was no longer in the car I'd have been less upset if I'd thought it would actually have been finished and used - but they'll have just chucked it in a bin somewhere

This was in Bolton many years ago. I've also worked in Hull (although lived in Beverley). and Leeds . It's sad to see them in the news for such bad reasons

I am busy setting up a new account on Threads, some Twitter friends are talking about closing their accounts due to Musk’s incitement to the rioters and attempts to promote far right accounts. I am undecided as a lot of people I follow aren’t on Threads, I may try Blue Sky as well
