Did you put it in a bag when you went to vote?

Dh lost his ordered a new one and found it 6 months later in his suit jacket

OK there are other threads which will be helpful but here goes:

In the drawer it should be in - look again carefully

Stuck somehow to the top of that drawer or caught in the one above

In the scanner <that's where mine was>
In someone's boot/shoe (more usually phone or keys here)

In the pocket of a coat

In a bag eg the travel luggage you used last summer

In the side or zip pocket of a handbag or bumbag you took on holiday

In a folder of things you needed to take to use as ID for a new job

Edited to add - ooh yes voting! That is a shout for last known use

Did you bring it with you to use as ID at some point? voice of experience

I found mine between the sofa cushions

in the safe.

Mine fell down the back of a cupboard.

Mine fell off a window ledge down the back of a radiator. Amazing that I found it in time!

Here is how I found mine with help from Google.

Remember, your passport is not misplaced, you are. Your passport is exactly where you last put it.

Lie on the floor and relax. Let your mind drift visually to all the places that your passport could be. Imagine yourself in that place with your passport. Either you will have an aha moment or you can get up and systematically go and look through the possible places. I found mine wedged at the end of my bed.

I found mine in a bag from when I last used it once when I was adamant I had put them back in the safe where we normally keep them x

Have you travelled with it since you last used it for ID? Slipped in the travel brochure or holiday itinenry?

A friend missed her holiday because she couldn't find her passport, turned the house upside down.
It turned up a few week later - she'd left it in her locker at work, had needed it for for DBS paperwork.

So, I had it to vote. I’m thinking coat pocket…. Now I can’t find my coat. Any ideas?

Whoa, voting was weeks ago! Which coat were you wearing and why haven't you seen it since? Dud you go straight home after voting? Where would the coat usually be and why isn't it there now?

Coat in the back/boot of your car?

I once lost my passport, it had got caught up in a load of paperwork I had shoved in a bag in the loft, god knows how I found it in time.

I know. But I had covid right after, as in tested later that evening cos I felt awful, then we had a heatwave so no coat since.
yes, straight home as I didn’t feel great. Coat would normally be in the hall. It’s not there, or my bedroom or the car…

OK I get it. Feeling not quote right, dragged yourself out to vote, passport in pocket. Return home...

Later, test for covid, ill, illness days blurred. Couple weeks later - where is coat? Where is passport?

So back to voting. What time of day? What did you have to do after returning home? Can you envisage the moment you got into the house?
