What’s for dinner?

Too hot, cannot be bothered.
DH said he’ll pick something up on his way home, but don’t know what I fancy.

Need inspiration, help please MN!

I know the feeling. I CBA in this heat 🤣

Last night we had a ploughmans. Nice bread, ham, cheese, pickled onions etc. Easy and no cooking.

The night before I had a brie and mango chutney baguette, DH had a jacket potato with tuna.

Tonight I felt like I actually needed to make a proper meal for DDs' sake. So it's noodle salad. Rice noodles tossed in a dressing of olive oil, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and crunchy peanut butter. Grated carrot, spring onions , peppers etc.

Fajitas with coleslaw

Smoked mackerel with couscous and green salad. I might make some coleslaw as well.

Too hot to walk the dogs so friend has got up the paddling pool and we're having a BBQ.

After ham and salad stuff and BBQ and salad stuff, tonight is mac and cheese with the left over ham.

Rotisserie chicken, coleslaw, salad and wedges. Oh and some corn on the cob.

Last night we had whole seabass
Tonight chicken and halloumi burger
Tomorrow garlic and chilli prawns
Friday Souvlaki

We always cook outside when it's good weather like this - have even put a tv outside today so we can watch the Olympics too... (one neighbour is on holiday and the other side have the kids playing in the garden til around 10 so noise isn't an issue!)

I've done some tofu in a sweet and sour sauce and we're having it with a roasted chickpea and veggie traybake

DH and DCs fancy a takeaway so now the decision is - what?!? 🤷‍♀️

I ended up having some leftover quiche and salad last night.
Today however, we are going for a takeaway! Just got to agree on which one.

We just had scrambled eggs and toast.
I'd rather have chicken chow mein 😔 maybe tomorrow 😁

We are having quiche, salad and potato wedges. Nice and easy and we shall eat it in the garden. Lovely.

We had fish in batter, oven chips and peas - all from the freezer. Too hot to think about what to have or to do proper cooking.

Last night was BBQ chicken legs and a cous cous salad

So far today I've only managed marmite on toast and a G&T

Will probably make a very basic large green salad with the rest of the cous cous which has cucumber, onion, tomatoes and gherkins and a lemon dressing

Maybe teriyaki salmon actually

We had Greek chicken flatbreads and new potatoes. Prepped the chicken and veg this morning so just chucked it all in the air fryer this evening and lumped it in the flatbreads.

Dessert was Jude’s cherry ice cream on a waffle cone with the Jude’s chocolate sauce 😋
