Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am about to drink it in my kitchen spot. Both kittens are chilled after a crazy half hour & I'm thinking about breakfast.

We have no real plans today - I was going to make cottage pie for tea but no-one got mince out to defrost like I asked them to while I was out last night, so it'll be something from the freezer 🤷‍♀️

I'll pop a wash on in a minute and have a tidy round but that's probably it for today.

My dad's popping round at some point to meet the kittens. I think we'll sit in the garden though once he's met them - the weather's beautiful 🌞 He wanted to come round now...just as we're waking up 🤯

Tonight will be a self-care Sunday shower for me, followed by finding a top to wear to All Points East, and maybe an hour with my book, before a nice early night 💤 . Half of last night was spent with a wriggly kitten purring and trying to pinch my pillow to sleep on 🤣. He's very affectionate but I do prefer sleep at 4am!

It’s an absolutely beautiful day here so we’re going to head out to a lake out in the country around lunchtime. Just got to wait for DD1 to come home from a sleepover first.

I’ve just had a tidy around downstairs and come back to bed with a cappuccino. Just having a think about what I need for going away on Sat - last minute stuff from Amazon mainly. Going to choose a holiday book which I always get super excited about (sad I know!)
Then got to strip the beds and make a start on my holiday packing as I’m working all this week so no other day to do it.
Then Lakes - probably do chicken roast when we get back and hopefully eat outside - will be the first time this year!!

Morning all! I was left to sleep in this morning and DH just came along with a coffee for me to drink in bed. It’s lovely with the sun streaming in although it’s feeling hot already!

We’re going to chill at home this morning and do a bit of housework. Then we’ll stop by the beach to have a quick swim before meeting family for a roast dinner. I need to make the most of this sunshine before a very busy week at work!

Sat outside and had a cup of tea. Had a busy day yesterday, went to many places. Today we off to vintage fair to see what we can get. This afternoon I have to show my DD to put the tent up, for when she goes to a festival. Will be glad when it's over, fed up with going on about it lol.

Sounds like a nice chilled Sunday, op.

Had coffee and freshly squeezed juice, pain au chocolat and fruit out in the garden, listening to the birds.

Weekly upstairs house reset next after a nice hot shower. Will take about an hour to clean and then it’s just maintenance for rest of week.

i am picking up some clothes I ordered for my DD from M and S later. Will probably buy something nice from the cafe or food hall for me while there!

Walk round our local lake later with a friend. Good for the soul.

My DC are away with their dad for a week visiting family while I work. I miss them but trying to make the most of the ‘me’ time.

I intend to do very little today other than sit in the shade with a book!

1st day back after hols so tidying /cleaning the horror that is the kitchen my adult DC have left. They had made such an effort but it was still grim 🤢

Then put onto the garden to tend to the plants which have made it through my 2 week absence.

Just having scrambled eggs on toast with HP sauce.

Also need to plan my week as I just found out mum had a heart attack whilst I was away 😮 so I need to find time to go there and sort her out - whilst juggling demanding new job !

But that's for tomorrow. Today is sun, garden, food and trying not to scratch the many mosquito bites I came home with 😬

Walking in the lakes sounds magical !

A nice slow easy morning so far making lists of last minute bits to get for me and DD as going away for a few days on Friday. 3 days of work left this week and I will be so pleased to have a break from the office for a few weeks.

Will shortly be putting a wash on, then jump in the shower and me and DD will pop to shops as she has cracked her phone screen yet again so will try and get it fixed before hols. Also, will hopefully get our last minute bits and pieces.

Am hoping I may get some time to sit out in the garden this afternoon as lovely day here!

Have lurked but never posted before.

I’m watching the Olympics after testing for Covid - feeling rotten atm but it’s a second negative test so I guess (hope) just a bug I’ve picked up. About to have some porridge for breakfast despite not really feeling hungry thanks to aforementioned bug.

Lovely day here and neighbours are popping round later to borrow a ladder. I need to do some office work but hope to get some gardening in. DH has been away for a few days but is back later. I might risk making a coffee now.

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. Still in bed but will hop in the shower & wash my hair when DH has finished. Had a cuppa made by me. No sign of DD15 yet. Clock watching as I have to work later. I ended up being very productive yesterday but still have a pile of clothes to try on & a pile to photograph for Vinted. Dishwasher can go on once the breakfast things are in. Need to hang the bath mat out. Defrosted a Pizza Express pasta dish overnight for me & will buy something for DH. DD changes like the wind so it’s really difficult to cater for her. She nearly always sorts herself out & never eats with us. If the weather stays nice, I’ll go for a walk and/or sit in the garden after my shift. It will no doubt be bonkers today with all the holidaymakers.

DD comes back from a week visiting her dad later so I'm enjoying the last of the quiet, although I have actually missed her loads. Yesterday I did a big clean up of her room so going to do the last finishing touches in there this morning then tackle the rest of the housework - dishwasher broke so got a stack of stuff to wash by hand 😣 Will probably pop to a quick visit to mum in hospital this afternoon.

Lovely day.. so it's a drive out to the coast or country.. not decided yet.
Going in an hour..will stop for lunch.
I can't walk much.. but love the drive out.
Luckily we are close to the coast/ lakes/ Dales/ Pennines.
Sister will let her dog have a nice long run.
Had a couple of scrambled eggs for breakfast... my second Mounjaro is tomorrow.
One week in and lost 5 pounds.

I've been up quite early today, it's amazing that my body clock is perfectly set to 6.15 which is my weekday alarm time.

I've finished booking our holiday for early September, and scoped airport hotel and parking. I've had two coffees and a bagel brought back to bed. I've then done some tidying and mopped the floors as we had a party yesterday for my dc's birthday and people were trekking in and out from the garden. I've then had my ritual Sunday bath with all my products and a face mask. Today I'm going to finish putting my plants in that I picked up from the garden centre earlier in the week. If I have time I may go for a walk, and then we are meeting family for a late Sunday lunch. This evening there may be a glass of wine, and some telly, then an early night.

Good morning @Lucysmam and others. It was a beautiful sunny morning when I woke but has clouded over now. I'm like your dad, Lucysmam. I wake horribly early and begin the day then, so it feels like lunchtime now 😂. I had two coffees when I first got up. I have been to Aldi for food, got a washing on and had a croissant with gooseberry jam and a cuppa. I'm off to hang out the washing then put some weedkiller on the drive. Later I'll visit mum. Just having a lazy Sunday here, I had some Indian cakes for breakfast, they were in syrup very like rhum baba....delicious!
No plans for the day, except I'll have a long chat via the iPad with DS who lives far away.

What are your kittens called @lucysmam ? They sound like a lot of fun!

@LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand yep, he's always on the go early early 🙈 He'll have got busy doing something when I text him too!

I'm only just shifting to get the washer on, take tablets, and tidy round. Quite like just "being" with the snoozing kittens. I'm ignoring the fact that I now need to wash up the dish draining rack before washing up, because they've chosen to sleep in there together 🙄.
