Good Morning All! What are you all up to today?

I've just made my first cuppa of the day & am about to drink it in my kitchen spot. Both kittens are chilled after a crazy half hour & I'm thinking about breakfast.

We have no real plans today - I was going to make cottage pie for tea but no-one got mince out to defrost like I asked them to while I was out last night, so it'll be something from the freezer 🤷‍♀️

I'll pop a wash on in a minute and have a tidy round but that's probably it for today.

My dad's popping round at some point to meet the kittens. I think we'll sit in the garden though once he's met them - the weather's beautiful 🌞 He wanted to come round now...just as we're waking up 🤯

Tonight will be a self-care Sunday shower for me, followed by finding a top to wear to All Points East, and maybe an hour with my book, before a nice early night 💤 . Half of last night was spent with a wriggly kitten purring and trying to pinch my pillow to sleep on 🤣. He's very affectionate but I do prefer sleep at 4am!

@AdaColeman girl kitten is Boots - she's mostly black but has white paws. Boy kitten is Shakey - he was shivering when dd1 went to her friend's house to meet them for the first time & Shakey kind of stuck. I've attached a pic - left is my little girl 😊

I'm in the garden with a coffee waiting for the teens to surface! We've got tickets today to attend a country fair at a local park. Looks like it's going to be a beautiful day here. Might have a beach hut tea at sundown if it stays nice.

Good morning everyone. I was woken at 6.35am by a neighbour deciding that was a great time to start throwing things in a skip! I was not amused as it ruined my plans for a lie in.

As I was up so early at least it meant I had a couple of hours to myself before anyone else surfaced. Dd19 is working today and me, dh and dd10 are just chilling in the living room. I’ve so far stripped my bed and put the covers in the washer, fed the cats, mopped throughout downstairs, had some fruit and yoghurt and drafted a covering letter which I’ve sent off with my CV as I’m job hunting again.

The weather is already gorgeous so I think this afternoon will be spent in the garden and then we’re having bacon and egg for tea.

Tonight I imagine will be spent in front of the tv before a nice, long, cool shower and an early night in my fresh, line dried covers. I’m looking forward to bedtime already!

Pottering this morning. Washing, sorting out books.
Annoyingly is my afternoon/evening volunteering at an event today to raise monies for charity and I'll be sweating in a hot kitchen area making drinks and no doubt serving several thousand icecreams. Taking a fan with me.

Hi @lucysmam today I am gearing up for a potentially fraught family party this afternoon. Not my family, DH's. Almost certain to be fireworks from sil towards her sons girlfriends mother who she hates and has also been invited...

Im sitting here with coffee and toast gearing myself up for it. I'd like to find a quiet corner with dh and stay away from the drama but I think my very mild Mil will need some support.

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the peace before the war...

Good morning all!

We had a long day out yesterday so enjoying a much needed quiet morning, currently watching the Olympic gymnastics with a coffee and getting on with a bit of knitting.

DP is working today, so I’ll just enjoy a bit of me time. Have some sorting and tidying to do, and DP’s working from home so we’re getting through a few loads of laundry between us. I’m planning on fitting in a workout somewhere, and need to make a meal plan for the week ahead and get to Waitrose before it closes.

Hoping to get a good chunk of my book read this afternoon, then something easy for dinner, a glass of wine and more Olympics this evening.

Afternoon all,

I am under the weather, weak, alternating between shivers and sweating.

H is going shop with a list of easy food. Bread and things to eat with bread. I might boik some eggs that's the extent of my input.

So i am alternating between ibuprofen and paracetamol, reading and sleeping.

Whilst the sun shines brightly and the kids blow up various pixel things.
