It's time for the Olympic Games for the Playmobil people in our house...

... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

So pleased to see skateboarding and beach volleyball. I was a bit premature predicting them . I am going for equestrian events tomorrow ..

I guessed correctly on today's beach volleyball so am feeling lucky... I'm guessing tomorrow will be pole vault or triple jump.

Or boxing, but maybe that's a bit too controversial

Or breakdancing? (Or is it called breaking in the Olympics?)

@HumerousHumous we've already had boxing, and it wasn't the slightest bit controversial in Playmoland!

Just read through the whole thread and love it! The attention to detail is great and your imagination is incredible- I bet your son enjoyed many games when he was younger

I used to have playmobil growing up and would definitely want to get some for any future Mini Hobbit, it's so detailed and well made

I'm predicting golf, but the Playmo people do crazy golf as normal golf courses are a bit long in distance for them

Ah thank you @PlumpHobbit ! Yes we had a lot of fun when he was a child. We still get on well, but he's 23 now and very busy. He's currently out sailing. But he's happy for me to use his Playmobil and add to it, so that's all good!

Have you ever calculated how many playmo figures you have?

@PlumpHobbit the Playmo population was 1512 at the last count, although that doesn't include the 12 people awaiting cataloguing, not the 4 I'm hoping will soon arrive in the post!

@Seaside1234 it only occurred to me today that I have a Playmo golf bag and set of four golf clubs! But no golf balls or golf course, so I would have had to have made that. Maybe that's a project for another time...
