... and so each day I'll be bringing you all the action. Today is the opening ceremony. There is plenty of entertainment. Here is the King's Drum and Bugle Band, led by Drum Major Jermaine Jacobs.

Love the archers and their medieval equipment!

FuzzyCaoraDhubh · 30/07/2024 09:05

Brilliant @SoMuchToBits 🌟

LIZS · 30/07/2024 09:33

Well done Marco, although can't help thinking he had an unfair advantage!

FuzzyPuffling · 30/07/2024 10:08

Lovely stuff! I do like Lady Marden too. Will Sir Whatnot Staplehurst be making an appearance? ( Can't remember his full name!)

petalpower · 30/07/2024 10:45

I particularly love the archer’s names! 🎯

Lifeinlists · 30/07/2024 15:36

I think a bit of crowdfunding to upgrade the gallant losers' equipment would be in order. Marco definitely had the edge there.

Emmacb82 · 30/07/2024 17:11

Brilliant updates, I love all the playmo peoples
names, that’s a talent in itself!

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 18:48

Thank you all! I have a Sir Staplehurst Lydd, but he isn't an Olympic competitor.

Any guesses for tomorrow's events? There will be one main event and one add-on.

petalpower · 30/07/2024 19:11

Equestrian? Pool events?

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 30/07/2024 19:28

Love that Lady Marden's pal looks like she's had a few shandies!

leeverarch · 30/07/2024 19:47

Volleyball? Canoeing? Tug of War?😁

Can he be a judge/ spectator?

LlynTegid · 30/07/2024 19:51

Congratulations to Zoltan.

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 19:54

@AccidentallyWesAnderson that is Angela, she is there with her children and husband (who are just out of shot. I think she may just be a bit tired with looking after children at a big event all day...

@FuzzyPuffling not at this late stage I'm afraid!

So pleased the fencing was a civilised affair not like the shenanigans in Paris.

JewelleryCat · 30/07/2024 20:10

It probably isn’t a Olympic event but dog agility lol

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 20:17

@viques everything is civilised in Playmoland! Wink
@JewelleryCat I'm sure that dog agility isn't an Olympic sport! Although if there was dog eating as a sport, I expect Apollo would win! Grin

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 20:18

I mean dogs eating food, not people eating dogs (in case anyone gets the wrong idea)!

Maybe you could break the rules for the PlaymOlympics lol, have sports that aren’t in the actual Olympics

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 20:35

Ooh no, I try to make it fairly realistic! Grin

I've had a good day at the beach with a friend. Looking forward to band rehearsal tomorrow, then will clean my (rather neglected of late) house. Have a friend coming to stay from Thursday until Sunday.

That's good anyway. And now I'll have ds here on Saturday evening! How fab. And in between, lots of PlaymOlympics to post. Smile

If we’re still having guesses, I’ll guess skateboarding

SoMuchToBits · 30/07/2024 22:38

Interesting! Smile

When your son visits does he roll his eyes at his mum messing around with his Playmo stuff?
