What road do you live on and how do you like it?

Inspired by another thread. I live down a single track lane in a cluster of about 15 houses at the edge of the village.
I love it. I like the feeling of belonging and being known and recognised.

I live in a cul de sac in the suburbs of Sydney. I have the bush on one side and houses on the other. It’s friendly and in our little close alone we have families from the U.K., Australia, Poland, Peru, China, Japan and Italy. I love it! It takes 10 mins to get to the shops and 40 mins to get to the centre of Sydney.

I live in a quiet dead end road of 10 houses, in the middle of a lovely village. It has all the shops, clubs and amenities I want. Beautiful countryside walks straight out of the door. Been here years, know everyone and have no plans to move

We live within a village but behind two roads, so people back onto us rather than live beside us. We’ve got several acres of woodland and people don’t tend to know this house exists. It’s a great balance, if I was to scream two streets would hear but we’ve also got a bit of isolation too. When I go to sleep I hear the tawny owl and my heartbeat!
