My In laws as they come round to pick the dog up to walk her.

Adult step son and daughter.

The neighbour (cat feeding)

Some friends who live a mile away in case there's an emergency if we are away.

Nobody.

Possumly · 18/07/2024 14:25

Just my mum, who lives nearby. Not needed to give a key to anyone else yet.

MakingPlans2025 · 18/07/2024 14:25

My mum and my cleaner

DinnaeFashYersel · 18/07/2024 14:26

My parents and my sister.

Pallisers · 18/07/2024 14:26

My next door neighbour, my cleaner, my dog walker. Probably a friend was given one at some point.

Flubadubba · 18/07/2024 14:26

In laws, as they live round the corner. They only use it when they know we won't be here/ when babysitting DD.

mumonthehill · 18/07/2024 14:26

No one!! In fact i realised on holiday recently that eldest ds does not even have one. If anything had happened to us he would have to break in!!

MessyNeate · 18/07/2024 14:27

Too many people! We inherited the house from DP's parents. So

His aunt
His sister
Bil
The cleaner (though she does pop in to walk the dog for us if we need to) doesn't clean for us though!
My mum

SallyWD · 18/07/2024 14:27

Neighbour and cleaner

wwyd2021medicine · 18/07/2024 14:28

Neighbours
Friend round corner
Cleaner
Decorator
Roofer (back door and road gate)
Daughters boyfriend (well, his mum keeps it safe in case DD locks herself out when we are away)

Ponderingwindow · 18/07/2024 14:28

my in-laws should still have the physical key we gave them for emergencies we moved in many years ago. We got one of those decorative keys that were being sold at the time so it would be hard to lose. If they need to enter though we just give them the current key code.

namedchangedtoprotectme · 18/07/2024 14:30

no one now.. my ex husband used to have one as it was more pratical for childcare etc, and i had a key to his.

we actaully now have a key safe outside the house and anyone who is likely to need it has the code!

its directly under the ringdoor bell so i feel very safe with it, and its been great for those occasions where children have forgotten keys etc

tealandteal · 18/07/2024 14:30

My mum who lives locally and if we go away we give one to a friend who will feed the snake as my mum wouldn’t. They give it back when we come home. The estate agent has one at the moment.

LifeExperience · 18/07/2024 14:31

both of my adult dc

CurlewKate · 18/07/2024 14:31

My adult children. My neighbour. My friend down the road. My pils would-but they live 240 miles away.

BingoMarieHeeler · 18/07/2024 14:31

The key safe.

Would give the code to whoever came to feed any pets etc but we don’t have any pets so irrelevant. Builder had the code during our build (should probably change the code I guess, oops! He’s trustworthy ofc otherwise wouldn’t have chosen him, but still)

Notcms · 18/07/2024 14:32

Keysafe so whoever needs

Favouritefruits · 18/07/2024 14:32

My mum and dad
mil and fil
lady across the road

Moier · 18/07/2024 14:32

My two daughters.

Anonym00se · 18/07/2024 14:32

-All our kids (all adults)
-Next door in case alarm goes off while we’re away.
-13 yo Ukrainian boy that lived with us for a year with his mum and sister. They got their own place and the day they moved out last year his Mum told him to give us the key back. He got really upset, so I told him to keep hold of it just in case. I didn’t want him to feel like we were turning our backs on him. He still comes round to see us a couple of times a week.

typicaltuesdaynight · 18/07/2024 14:32

My dad and mil to feed the cat if we're away or occasionally pick up son from school

viques · 18/07/2024 14:33

Daughter, neighbour.

Tdcp · 18/07/2024 14:33

My FIL but he feeds the cats when we're away so it made sense. Other than that, no one.

protectoroftherealm · 18/07/2024 14:34

My mum and dad and my inlaws

Our next door neighbours have a key for the back gate as he likes to do a bit of gardening for us!

Rachierach11 · 18/07/2024 14:34

Next door neighbours (both sides), dog walker, cleaner, friend who lives up the road and currently have builders working at the house so they have a key too
