My In laws as they come round to pick the dog up to walk her.

Adult step son and daughter.

The neighbour (cat feeding)

Some friends who live a mile away in case there's an emergency if we are away.

Nobody 🤷‍♀️

Ineffable23 · 18/07/2024 14:35

My mum, my cleaner, a friend who lives nearby and another friend who lives less nearby. Excessive but I live alone so I don't want to get locked out!

Possumly · 18/07/2024 14:25

Just my mum, who lives nearby. Not needed to give a key to anyone else yet.

We have a keysafe so nobody else does. Well, mum does but she's mislaid it!

AutumnBride · 18/07/2024 14:38

No one, but I will probably give one to my cleaner at some point.

Andwegoroundagain · 18/07/2024 14:38

My siblings, my mum, my cleaner, my neighbour for emergencies, my old nanny who still pops over most weeks for a cuppa!

Skinglow · 18/07/2024 14:39

Adult daughters and son.

Bluevelvetsofa · 18/07/2024 14:43

Two lots of neighbours. We are the keeper of the keys round here and we have keys for half a dozen people.

OldTinHat · 18/07/2024 14:46

My cleaner.
My builder who never turns up.
My two DC (one has lost the key and the other has been NC for 4yrs).

Musicaltheatremum · 18/07/2024 14:48

Neighbour & daughter. We also have a key safe so people can get in if they need to... another neighbour has the code for that and the alarm.

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 18/07/2024 14:48

My mum and a neighbour.

socks1107 · 18/07/2024 14:50

No one. I definitely don't want in-laws having one and my parents live too far away

TheresMillionsSaidGeoffrey · 18/07/2024 14:50

Next door had a key from the previous neighbours. I asked if they could keep it just incase.

DramaAlpaca · 18/07/2024 14:50

My two adult sons who don't live at home.

BigDahliaFan · 18/07/2024 14:51

Ah yes, the cleaner too.

We also have a key hidden in the shed....

And will just leave a key under the pot in the front garden if someone we know is popping in to do some work ....

Think DH's ex wife has one too...and we know where her spare key is hidden.

The kids and DH's ex never lived in this house.....

We rent, so the landlord always has one in case of emergency
If I am going away, I leave my key with who ever is pet sitting for us

-All our kids (all adults)
-Next door in case alarm goes off while we’re away.
-13 yo Ukrainian boy that lived with us for a year with his mum and sister. They got their own place and the day they moved out last year his Mum told him to give us the key back. He got really upset, so I told him to keep hold of it just in case. I didn’t want him to feel like we were turning our backs on him. He still comes round to see us a couple of times a week.

@Anonym00se this honestly just made me tear up reading about the Ukrainian family, especially the son. That is so sweet. I'm so happy you all still have a good relationship. ❤️

Nobody has my house key.

Lolatusernamesuggestions · 18/07/2024 14:56

@JingsMahBucket just saw your message before mine. Glad someone else felt same

ricecrispiecakes · 18/07/2024 14:56

FIL has one, plus DH's aunt two houses away.

MrHarleyQuin · 18/07/2024 14:56

Only my inlaws who live round the corner.

DoYouSmokePaul · 18/07/2024 14:57

Just my parents who live five minutes’ walk away. But they are under strict instructions only to be used in emergencies.

aintnospringchicken · 18/07/2024 14:59

My two adult DC and my brother.

afaloren · 18/07/2024 15:00

My mum, DH’s parents and the cat sitter.

HighHeelsOnCobblestones · 18/07/2024 15:05

No one.

Starlight1979 · 18/07/2024 15:05

Bloody everyone! Next door neighbours on both sides, the dog walker, our ex cleaner (never got it back from her!), our mate up the road because he can pop in and check on the dogs if ever needed and / or if the neighbours aren't home 😂

Oh and I think the local estate agent also has a set from when our house was up for sale 🤔
