For the love of pants!

I've always worn M&S high leg briefs, no issues. Time for replacement and I'm really unimpressed with the quality and cut of the same knickers. Off I go in search of replacement. I didn't think it would be such a task. Simple knickers that don't ride up my ass! Not a big ask. I've tried M&S flexi fit, high rise, low rise, Tesco, John Lewis, etc, sizing up, sizing down, briefs, shorts..... no avail. I just cannot find a pair of knickers that don't ride up my ass. Beginning to think it's my bum that's the problem. I'm looking for pants that cover my bum cheek (I don't like Brazilian cut) and don't ride up over the bum cheek. I do a lot of walking and they seem to shift and i spend half my walk discreetly fixing my pants!! Please help with your recommendations x

I just get Primark full briefs. Are you sure you aren't buying them too big? (Might explain the travelling!).

Chocolately · 13/07/2024 20:31

Sloggi full briefs are comfy but plain.
I did have some lace trimmed full briefs from tesco (sized up) that were good. Just in naff colours.

I'm worried now! I have worn the high leg from M&S for about 25yrs. Last bought a multipack about a year ago- what has happened to them? I tried different styles for years before going with these and sticking with them. I don't really care what they look like but I need comfort- my arse has always been on the generous side and these did the job very well 😥

PFBGirlAlert · 13/07/2024 21:05

I converted from M&S to Next a few years ago now.

WirelessWendy · 13/07/2024 21:20

Wirapa on Amazon. I have thrown out all my old ones and only wear these now.

Advent0range · 13/07/2024 21:23

Wirapa seconded here. After a recommendation on here, I bought them and they are the comfiest pants I have ever worn.

OneRealOchreHiker · 13/07/2024 21:47

Love my Pretty Polly ones, very comfy, don’t move but they are getting difficult to source now…

violetcoconut · 13/07/2024 21:47

Are the wirarpa ones ok under leggings or do they have a vpl?

gimmegimmegimmeagin · 13/07/2024 21:50

@mrsfollowill snap! Theres just something wrong with the cut and the quality. I was so disappointed

I still like sloggis -

Archerfield · 13/07/2024 21:53

Primark have really upped their underwear game. I was always an M&S high leg devotee but have switched allegiance to Primark

goingtotown · 13/07/2024 21:53

Sloggi need to size up.

AnnaKorine · 13/07/2024 21:54

I also struggled with the m and d replacement and weirdly found asda knickers my favourite contenders. Not the most glamorous but they have one with a lace trim that in knickers and thong are my new go to pants for the day to day.

gimmegimmegimmeagin · 13/07/2024 21:55

@WirelessWendy @Advent0range how do wirapa size?? I'm
Usually a 10/12 so would that be a medi? Tempted to try these!
@PFBGirlAlert @serialcatbuyer any particular next ones you recommend?

I second the Asda suggestion. Their high leg briefs are very comfortable & flattering.

Normallynumb · 13/07/2024 22:00

Asda here too since my last pack of high legs were so thin they were see through from Sainsbury's

Ilovecrispstoomuch · 13/07/2024 22:00

Innersey on Amazon. I LOVE their big pants after trying loads of others to replace my M&S ones. They have lots of different fits. Great quality and a super comfortable waistband.

PollyPeachum · 13/07/2024 22:34

I like Sloggi,
When helping someone to shop from Damart catalogue I decided to try the full cotton brief. They are very comfortable with dresses, no lines.

WirelessWendy · 13/07/2024 23:36

@gimmegimmegimmeagin i just ordered the size that Amazon recommended to me, based on other things I had bought.

Advent0range · 14/07/2024 08:04

@gimmegimmegimmeagin I'm sorry I really can't remember how I sized, I probably bought the recommended size like @WirelessWendy .

RabbitsRock · 14/07/2024 08:07

I always buy full briefs. Once got high leg from Asda by mistake & can’t be doing with them at all as they keep rolling over!

Attictroll · 14/07/2024 08:19

Argos/ tu for me changed from M&S a few years back

LightSpeeds · 14/07/2024 08:23

Asda here too.
