For the love of pants!

I've always worn M&S high leg briefs, no issues. Time for replacement and I'm really unimpressed with the quality and cut of the same knickers. Off I go in search of replacement. I didn't think it would be such a task. Simple knickers that don't ride up my ass! Not a big ask. I've tried M&S flexi fit, high rise, low rise, Tesco, John Lewis, etc, sizing up, sizing down, briefs, shorts..... no avail. I just cannot find a pair of knickers that don't ride up my ass. Beginning to think it's my bum that's the problem. I'm looking for pants that cover my bum cheek (I don't like Brazilian cut) and don't ride up over the bum cheek. I do a lot of walking and they seem to shift and i spend half my walk discreetly fixing my pants!! Please help with your recommendations x

Wirapa on Amazon. I have thrown out all my old ones and only wear these now.

Me too! These ended my several years long search for good pants.

@WirelessWendy @Advent0range how do wirapa size?? I'm
Usually a 10/12 so would that be a medi? Tempted to try these!
@PFBGirlAlert @serialcatbuyer any particular next ones you recommend?

I'm also a 10/12 the mediums are a good fit for me

I like full briefs and just get Asda or
tesco ones. Not glamorous but I’m single and nobody but me sees them lol. They are comfy and don’t cause problems.

I've got some Wirapara ones and don't like them at all. The material is too thick and the waistband gives a slight compression effect that isn't comfy. They remind me of my old school PE knickers!! May have been better if I sized up, I guess? (I'm a 14 and bought Large). Having said that I don't have any really constructive suggestions, I'm still looking for the perfect pants...

It is so difficult to recommend to others as we are all different shapes. For example M&S Brazilians work for me and stay in place, but they are not comfy for the OP. I think it’s a case of keep trying but avoid 100% cotton as it has not stretch in it. Maybe try some in a stretch lace? And the fabric does breathe, it’s full of tiny holes.

mitogoshi · 14/07/2024 08:55

Sainsbury's full briefs, don't skimp on the size too. Very comfortable, wash well, no riding up

dudsville · 14/07/2024 08:59

Thunder Pants, full coverage and they advertise that they won't go up your bum. They last forever.

Sloggi full briefs are comfy but plain.
I did have some lace trimmed full briefs from tesco (sized up) that were good. Just in naff colours.

I bloody love my Sloggi pants

I have just discovered Uniqlo pants. They are pant perfection. Good quality. Fit perfectly and don't ride up.

Fraa · 14/07/2024 09:34

I've had the same problem with the M&S knickers. They are now a really weird cut - a bit too low, and ride up badly.

Hedjwitch · 14/07/2024 09:38

Another vote for Wirapa. My comfiest big knickers.

Pollydollydoodle · 14/07/2024 21:28

I'm now in bed, with a cuppa writing a to do list for the week. Might sound dull, but it helps me feel in control and lists make me feel a bit less stressed and anxious. I'm also holiday hunting!

Oops wrong thread!!

The sizing, predictably, is all over the place too, between M & S, Tu, Tesco and all the others I've tried.

I wear high leg knickers in a 14. The Tu ones are so big they fall down, the Primark ones seem to be cut on the small side, Morrison's aren't high leg enough...

My favourites at the moment are the Tesco modal ones- but tbh they're not great in the heat.

It's a conundrum.

Gazelda · 14/07/2024 22:08

I'm similarly disappointed with M&S high legs lately. Maybe it's just me, but the gussets seem to be narrower.

MWNA · 15/07/2024 08:39

Wirapa from Amazon are perfect knickers!

AuntieMarys · 15/07/2024 08:42

Definitely Wirapa. I have the longer length ones and the boxers.

ElinoristhenewEnid · 15/07/2024 08:55

Why are wirarpa knickers produced in such hideous colours?

Mrsredlipstick · 15/07/2024 08:56

Sloggi Tai
Big bloomers nude everyday for trousers
Marks shorts for dresses.

I don't think that are, are they?
A multitude of different and pleasant enough colours.
