Hi all
Needing a bit of a pick me up tonight. Tell me some lovely things or positive things that have happened for you today?

I was round at a friend's. Her 4 year old shouted "I love you Arti" to me through the toilet door! Very cute.

I have been been shadowed by 2 lovely teenagers this week for work experience. They both said they had enjoyed it very much.

My Aunts pet cat slept on top of me while I was watching tiktok

I got my dream job!!

That was going to be mine too! 😆 but just 1 very sweet teenage boy. Very cool kid but very open and chatty and willing and it gave me hope for the future (I’ve got young kids!)

I organised a school fair by myself and we made £1250 profit!

I paddled in a swimming pool in 34 degree warmth. Ate leftovers from last nights dinner and it was lush.

I love holidays.

I visited my dad in his care home and he shared his ice cream with me.

Bit of a negative as I had to call an ambulance for mother in law but the positive is that the paramedics were just the most amazing, kind, helpful and warm people you could meet.
Just the kind of people you need in a situation like that.

I managed to run 5km using under 40 mins today. First time that's happened 😳

My daughter went in to her school class after weeks of EBSA. We only stayed for a little bit but the fact she even managed to be in the building is a major step for her.

My DD came home from school super excited as they announced the Year 2 classes for Sept and she is with all her best friends and a lovely teacher.
The sun was shining this evening and DD and I watched some lovely pink clouds in the sky as she went to bed.

I got an unexpected tax rebate 🥳🥳🥳

Both my kids have called me today. DH and I are away and due home today so DS (20) probably just wanted to work out how much time he had to clean. DD (16) is in Europe and wanted to know what treats we wanted brought back. They’re good eggs and have called us almost every day we’ve been away.

Both my new lodgers enormous doggies trusted me enough to climb on my bed and snore peacefully beside me 🥰

They never cease to amaze me

Finding out my friend is pregnant after years of trying

My yr 9 class all eagerly asking if they will have me next year, which just mean they like me!

I saw a wild deer crossing the road and the roses in the garden are looking amazing (if a bit soggy).

I got a really lovely compliment from someone at work that I really thought didn't respect me 😄

Went out with DH to a wild and tangled independent plant nursery. Had delicious lunch from the cafe in a beautiful garden. Bought a bunch of flowers from the cutting garden where you snip your own and we brought home a lovely bunch of summery flowers to brighten up the house.

I got flamingos painted on my nails 😁. I also had a really nice chat with the staff in my local library, love going in there for a natter as much as the books!
Today I've had the day off work which is highly unusual for me as I'm self employed but I've been flat out recently and we're going away so I finished a day early. I've had a lovely balanced day of getting things done and some pamper time.

Received two school reports describing my children as polite, hardworking, helpful and kind.

Planned a shopping day with my lovely mum and daughter for tomorrow with cake at John Lewis cafe very firmly top of the agenda.

Had time to sit down with a coffee this morning. Did a little bit of life admin, had a really nice haircut. Had second-day bolognese for dinner.

Ok, maybe boring but I got my bathroom fixed and I’m so bloody happy not to have tiles falling off the wall it’s made me happy & tomorrow I’m going to have a lovely long soak in the bath & I’ve not been able to do that in ages :)
