Absolutely awful, can't imagine what he must be going through right now!

I couldn't find a thread about it yet so I apologise if there already is. Just been reading about it and am so shocked and sad for him.

And his surviving daughter. I simply cannot comprehend how they must be feeling.

Welshiegreen · 11/07/2024 08:49

I didn't realise there was another daughter.

It's unimaginable. I understand that John found them.

I don’t believe he did find them, thank God.
Absolute horror, those poor women 😢

combinationpadlock · 11/07/2024 08:50

sending him and his daughter love and prayers

JohnnyAndTheDead · 11/07/2024 09:35

That poor man. I couldn't recover from this. His poor surviving daughter as well.

beguilingeyes · 11/07/2024 09:52

This is the most awful story. They were all still alive when the paramedics reached them.
A fucking crossbow. Just horrifying.

Longma · 11/07/2024 10:02

Horrific news. That poor man and his surviving daughter, and condolences to their extended family and friends too.

What those three women went through was horrific. It's barbaric to even consider.

I wish their family the strength to move forward. I'm sure you can ever get over something like this and come to terms with it all. Awful

susiedaisy1912 · 11/07/2024 10:04

Been thinking about them. It's just so awful. No amount of jail time will ever be enough for what that killer did.

Borntobeamum · 11/07/2024 10:10

His world has just imploded. How do you ever get over this?

RaraRachael · 11/07/2024 10:33

Just too awful for words. Why can't men accept the end of a relationship and just move on? No need for this level of appalling violence. Unless you're a competitive archer, nobody should be able to buy a crossbow.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 11/07/2024 10:36

So so awful, I have not been able to stop thinking about this and I can barely get my ahead around it. Women will never be safe in this world.
That poor man and his daughter.

I remember years ago,I ended a relationship with a man
I was hounded with knocks on my door late at night, phone calls, following me on the school run, texts, threats of killing me (in writing via these texts),hounding my family and friends etc
I was talking to the police on the phone (no need to come out!) and they could hear the banging on my front door and the pinging of my phone
'Nowt we can do luv, until he hurts you, just change your phone number'
No word in his ear,no arrest for harassment, not even useful support, just 'change your phone number' (not much use when he knew where I lived)
As it was,he got bored, but I could have been another number on jess Phillips list and another 'lessons will be learned'
I had every right to end it with him and every single right to be safe
Sad thing is,he wasn't the first and won't be the last

Hvjudefjhfdr · 11/07/2024 11:05

I also read today that the murderers brother is also in prison for murder.

Its horrific what the victims family have been put through. The father and other daughter must be completely broken. Such a sickening crime.

I think the neighbours phoned police when they heard screams

Freeyatortillathriller · 11/07/2024 11:06

It's horrible and why it's well known that the riskiest time for any victim of domestic violence is the immediate aftermath of a split. Those poor women.

Tanfastic · 11/07/2024 11:08

Truly awful, there are just no words 😢

hattie43 · 11/07/2024 11:16

We have become so immune to violence and then a story pops up that literally takes your breathe away . I don't know how they will go on tbh .

ChateauMargaux · 11/07/2024 11:24

Carole Hunt, Hannah Hunt, Louise Hunt.

Remember their names in their own right, not who's wife, daughter or murder victim they are.

Soonenough · 11/07/2024 11:31

How does that poor man ever hope to recover from this ? One normal day , his whole life implodes . His wife and two daughters gone . And knowing they suffered .Felt sick when I watched the news. And the bastard that did this was too cowardly to kill himself and made a bad job of it. There really is no punishment bad enough for this. The death penalty seems appropriate for this kind of atrocity .

Twotimesrhymes · 11/07/2024 11:37

Its sickening

Rest in Peace Carole, Hannah and Louise. Good decent women taken so nastily.

sincere sympathy to all who knew and Loved them

Britsfivk · 11/07/2024 11:41

They should ban crossbows and hunting knives. No one needs one and male violence is at too high a rate to leave such devastating weapons for sale. Those poor women. Another 3 women dead because of some cunt of a man who couldn't control his emotions. We have to teach our boys better. It's not good enough saying my son wouldn't.

I think it's dangerous to put the blame on (presumably women) not teaching their sons better behaviour.

It’s not blaming women, but we do all have a responsibility (along with their fathers!) to educate our sons so that they see women as equal, that they understand that this is a male issue and all men have a responsibility to address the problem.

Where did she place the blame on women? She clearly meant parents as a whole, if not families and society as a whole.
