It's 3.30am. Why are you awake?

I have a vomiting toddler, bless her. She's gone back to sleep now but every time I try to sleep I have very dramatic sleep paralysis sort of episodes where I feel like my soul is leaving my body and I'm dying! I'm too scared to go back to sleep now 😬

So why are the rest of you up at this hour?

Hope she gets better soon and you get some rest. I stayed up on election night until 6.30am to see Truss result and am now on an Australian timezone for sleep. Did 3.5 hours gardening until 9pm as well with DH so am shattered but too tired to sleep so MNing. Least it's an easy day tomorrow. Cat thinks it's playtime as well.

chineapplepunks · 07/07/2024 03:35

Also toddler related! Mine woke, climbed into our bed and then spent 1hr30 thrashing, kicking and crying. She's back to sleep and my brain is wide awake! Hope your little one feels better soon!

onwardandupwards · 07/07/2024 03:36

I'm up as my ds ( 19) he is autistic, adhd, hasn't left the house in almost 6 years loves wwe, so the pay per view has just finished, my 4 year old will be up by 5.30am but spending one to one time with my eldest makes the tiredness so worth it. Hope your little one and you get some sleep soon x

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 07/07/2024 03:40

No idea but it's annoying.

WiffleBallCat · 07/07/2024 03:41

blackheartsgirl · 07/07/2024 03:51

Couldn't sleep at my boyfriends house (his bed is not comfy) so have driven home and now in my own bed

RampantKrampus · 07/07/2024 03:57

Hoping some of the painkillers I’ve taken might start to work so I don’t have to wake DH (he’s supposed to be racing in the morning) and take myself to a&e.

colourfulchinadolls · 07/07/2024 03:57

emmetgirl · 07/07/2024 04:01

I'm awake at this time every bloody night. Drives me mad.

Babychewtoy · 07/07/2024 04:04

My 3yo had a high temperature so I woke him up to give him medicine…. And it’s taken him 3 hours to go back to sleep. Should have just left him asleep 🤦🏻‍♀️

Going to try and get a bit of sleep myself before the baby wakes up 🙃

MonsteraMama · 07/07/2024 04:06

My 16yo DD is at her first house party and while on the surface I was the cool mum who waved her off and isn't worried at all, I remember what I got up to at house parties when I was young (I have a 16yo at 33, do the maths!) so... Here I am at 4am gnawing my nails hoping to God she's ok and making better choices than I ever did.

Sorry to those who are up because you're ill and/or in pain, I hope you all feel better soon 💐

pavillion1 · 07/07/2024 04:06

Absolutely not mate

intrepidgiraffe · 07/07/2024 04:09

Toddler stirred but surprisingly didn't properly wake up. I'm wide awake though so have done all the jobs I forgot to do before falling asleep earlier - put a wash on, plugged the car in. Now to try to sleep again!

skkyelark · 07/07/2024 04:11

Sat holding my sleeping toddler on the sofa as she's having a reflux flare-up and if I lay her flat, she'll be sick.

godmum56 · 07/07/2024 04:13

I have no idea. Had a busy day with gardening and DIY, went to bed then ping! wide awake since around 11.30. Decided at 3.30 that I was wide awake and hungry so I now have tea, toast and telly. Hope everyone who is awake with pain or sick children have a better night tonight

Sleepyquest · 07/07/2024 04:16

Toddler related too!

AppleCream · 07/07/2024 04:24

Woke up for a wee. Then found the cat had been sick on the landing so had to clear that up. Now having a quick browse on MN to hopefully send me back to sleep!

fairymary87 · 07/07/2024 04:26

Bad tummy

Timeisnevertimeatall · 07/07/2024 04:32

Cat wakes me about 4am every day. Can't stand it but can't stop it either.
Hope all the poorly DC feel better soon.
