It's I think the BBC over estimating tactical voting against SNP. We'll see. Kirsty Wark wasn't convinced, I thought.

Does that make her a Baroness or a Dame? Not sure of these titles but C4 had titled her Dame.

If Harriet Harman is made a life peer, she'll be a Baroness with a seat in the HoL.

A Dame is the female equivalent of a knighthood, i.e. a kind of courtesy title. Knights and Dames can be members of the HoC, whereas peers cannot.

NB: Is 'Sir' JRM standing again? Is his seat 'safe'?

I loved how low key she was. Inside she must be deliriously happy.

I know. And she had the foresight to have a brolly handy. Top flight trolling there.

I can't believe it either.

4.30am, may single my bedtime.

TaraTories · 04/07/2024 22:53

I'm going to bury my head like the Tories and say I think it's bollocks and Reform will only get 9 seats with LDs will nabbing the rest.

Sevenoaks will be where I watch as the disenfranchised Tories there are either LD or Reform from what I can see. Anecdotally it's women LD and men Reform, but that's pretty standard nationwide, I am guessing.

Rishiispushed · 04/07/2024 22:53

Anyway, I am attempting to sleep.

Night night for now.

pollingstationpooch · 04/07/2024 22:54

Thanks for answering that

Other is 19. That's Northern Ireland + 1, presumably the speaker, meaning Corbyn will probably lose his seat.

I forgot NI got to vote. You wouldn't think it as the coverage of them has been non-existent

LittleBowSheep · 04/07/2024 22:46

Very pleased with 4 for Plaid Cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Hapus with that prediction as well!

prettybird · 04/07/2024 22:55

@Grantshappsotherusrnames - iirc (from discussions a long time ago Wink) @derxa lives somewhere in in the Borders.

So no, not non-dom.

cakeorwine · 04/07/2024 22:55

If some Conservatives have gone to Reform, then the Conservatives have a problem.

If they move towards Reform, then they may well lose Conservatives who would never vote Reform.

Bit of an issue for them

TheOnlyMrsW · 04/07/2024 22:05

Thank fcuk bbc peeing me off with the whole "degree of scepticism" spiel though

Why are you watching them? 😩

tobee · 04/07/2024 22:56

Quite likely that 13 Reform MPs will just fight amongst themselves "no I’m more racist than you!"

Just seen a clip of Rishi & his wife voting in Yorkshire. Akshata looked great, she was wearing a lovely dress.

newnamethanks · 04/07/2024 22:59

HH confirmed earlier on C4 she will be Baroness H, working hard to reform HoL.

Even ds, who works in Public Affairs, admitted tonight that he'd forgotten about NI, when I mentioned that the I thought the DUP would be hammered.

placemats · 04/07/2024 23:01

I'm reckoning that so called 'shy Tories' have become emboldened Reformies.

Yes. They never had a right alternative before. Now they do

I hope the Duppers lose at least 3 seats.
