Choosing a user name

Half the fun on MN for me is looking at the fantastic user names on this site, and I wondered how you all chose your names some are so inventive.😃
I saw a Barn owl on tv and it was so clean and white winged that it sparkled.

Translates as 'the fifth cunt' which means 'middle of nowhere/back of beyond'. Should be coño but the space won't accept an ñ so I Catalan-ised it!

I was here for Brian from Hull and saw the thread live, JamSlags is right, the name-changing speed was beyond impressive!
YoniTakesAMinuteGirl was one of my favourites!

My username speaks for itself.

Not sure mine is amazing. I used to have the username "a cup of coffee thank you" but in Danish. As it was so long it was constantly shortened to Enko, So i became Enko. (Enkopkaffetak)

Line from a song from my teen years. Love the song, and will never be called a goddess in real life so given myself the title on here. In real life it would be more like AverageMumOnABRoad.

The 2 school runs and my house on a map is a triangle. I feel like all I do is go between them round and round...in triangular 'circles '

I have a strange fascination with the regular shoes on/shoes off in the house debate threads.

I’m shoes on. A poster once triumphantly declared that she kept “an unopened pack of men’s socks” to offer to unexpected visitors and I was very taken by the image of people shuffling forlornly round her house in oversized grey hosiery.

I haven't had many compliments on mine which I must say I'm disappointed as it does make me chuckle every time I see it.

Mine is in honour of all the threads that pose a question that no ordinary human poster could answer:

Will I regret ghosting the guy I like on OLD just because he said he likes Nigel Farage's socks?

Will I have a good time in New York City even thought he other thread says it's shite?

I love the TV show Quantum Leap , so most of my names are the actors or characters of the show.
I used Ziggy for a while ( the shows computer ) but a lot of other postes thought I was referring to David Bowie , which is completely understandable but not me .

A mishearing of “baffled as a regiment of surgeons”, chosen to amuse a friend who also posts here. The logistics of having one as a regimental mascot, in the manner of a goat or wolfhound or whatever, don’t bear thinking about. Also, sturgeon are fab.

I decided on mine after we came last in the pub quiz. Again.

I think mine is an obvious one! Just changed on Thursday.

Most recently it's been a phrase from work papers I'm reading. I did go through an extended period of Farrow and Ball paint colours though when we were renovating...

Usually a book character, like the current one. May be time for a change.
