ive found this forum to be very helpful with people offering advice and chatting away to me that I thought I’d create this thread for anyone who’s going through same and could use some online company

You’re going to be grand OP! I’ve had nothing but sugary cereal to eat all day (wfh and lazy!) so am about to make some fish and vegetables to balance it out. What are you having?

Homemadebreadandbutter · 28/06/2024 21:08

I had curry and then Greek yogurt, watched some tv and watered the garden. Not quite earth shattering but it was okay 🙂 What did you have for dinner?

Laiste · 28/06/2024 21:09

Hi there - 8 month old DD, how lovely !

Here's a hug from me ((hug)) Flowers You will be OK. You're doing great x

We had gammon egg and chips tonight 😀 Doing not much, waiting for bed time really! Really need a decent night's sleep.

BirthdayRainbow · 28/06/2024 21:10

You are going to be okay. Sometimes life is hard. My STBEH made me cry today and threatened me. But it will pass, I'm just upset now.

Good food, some nice to and a decent sleep and everything will seem better tomorrow.

DontBiteTheCat · 28/06/2024 21:11

Ahh sweetheart, have a big hug from me!

You really are doing great, it’s hard being a mum especially when you’re struggling with your mental health.

Have you got anything nice planned for the weekend?x

BCBird · 28/06/2024 21:11

Hi OP. Sending u positive vibes. No sugary food for me. I get weighed tomorrow. I'll gave a Curly Wurly for breakfast when I get back🤣 Tea was mixed veg in pesto and some mussels. Lookin at a cereal bar hrre😮it's calling me!! Got loads going on emotionally but goin to try and be positive this weekend one step at a time. Be kind to urself

Lostworlds · 28/06/2024 21:11

I loved the 8 month stage with my dd but boy was it tiring!

You’re doing well @Ella2001
I had jacket potatoes for dinner, have you had yours yet?

My day was okay until I’ve weirdly been sent spiralling by learning my ex is having a baby with someone else. I’m married , have my own children and i’m happy but I have no idea why this is bothering me tonight.

I have 2 teens and slightly wish they were 8 months old again- though I know it's not an easy age but I rarely see mine as they are busy with studies/friends/ gaming etc.
You are no doubt doing a great job and whatever is bothering you, tomorrow is another day and hopefully more positive

When I was pregnant with my daughter , my ex that I was with for 4 years had just gotten a new girl friend , she just had a baby with someone else and he took the step dad role. I was pregnant and in a relationship but my heart dropped . I get what u mean! X

I'm the same age as you and have a 6 month old DS. I feel the same what feels like most days now but it's all about getting through the day and coming up with things to look forward to. For example I have a cinema date in two weeks with a friend and you'd think I was going away to the Maldives with how excited I am. Each day is constant mess crying and me and DS crying together but it's worth it when I make him laugh or see him do something new.

Today I attempted to have a healthy dinner of chicken ceaser salad but it didn't quite hit the spot so I took a trip to McDonald's drive thru because life's too short!

Xyz1234567 · 28/06/2024 21:25

Here's another big hug from me. I'm old enough to be your mum but I remember vividly how much my life changed when I had my first baby. I felt very, very lonely and exhausted at times, as I was a long way from my family. It does get easier!
I'm in Scotland, so start of school holidays here. I cleaned my disgusting skirting boards downstairs this morning, then went to Ikea and bought a coffee table which I have just put together in the lounge. My daughter made some Thai curry noodle soup for tea. It was tasty but I'm still a bit peckish and eyeing up a hot buttered crumpet for supper.

It’s the strangest feeling isn’t it? I want to be happy for him, he’s an ex for a reason but I can’t put a finger on what it is that I’m actually feeling.

You’re right life is too short , I get days where I’m terrified to do anything but then others my whole mindset changes to “life is too short”
lovely ! Hope you enjoyed it, McDonald’s is a once and a blue moon treat for me 🤣

It still doesn’t feel really 8 months on. I can’t believe how much my life has changed and not only am I having to learn about life myself I have to help teach it to another human .it’s scary!
I love a crumpet , do it !
thank you for the hug x

It is ! I felt that way because I was with him for so long , nearly 2 years on he still crossed my mind !

You are doing really well, honest you are. Would you think about trying medication for your anxiety?

I made a quick seafood panaeng for dinner, had a busy week in work and just chilling now.

You are totally going to be ok x

My ocd tells me not to take meds because I get scared with my health anxiety over trying new things never mind a drug , although I’d love to be able take something if it was gonna help . Never heard of panaeng, what’s that? X

I've just had a hot buttered crumpet.😄

I'm much older than you OP but I still have days feeling anxious and stressed. Sometimes it gets the better of me but I always pull through in the end. Keep focusing on the good things in life. I'm on my second glass of wine and feeling quite relaxed for a change.😁
