I’ve never seen anything like it…

Love the wording in the estate agents blurb ‘proud to present’ 😂

Laiste · 28/06/2024 20:42

They keep their house plants well.

MissIndecisive2023 · 28/06/2024 20:01

Would someone have to clear it before exchange if it’s sold by auction?

On "Homes under the hammer",they always say that when you buy at an auction, whatever is in the house is yours (to keep/sell/get rid off into a skip)

willWillSmithsmith · 28/06/2024 20:58

It looks like it could be a set from one of those Roald Dahl or Brian Clemens thriller mysteries that used to be on the telly. 😯

MrsAvocet · 28/06/2024 21:00

Looks like it's a repossession.
...or just possessed?!

Sookafatwan · 28/06/2024 21:00

A hoarders house. MH isnt really to be sneered at.

katebushh · 28/06/2024 21:01

Yeh my cousin has bipolar and her flat can sometimes resemble this in places.

It's more than likely someone with mental health issues.

SkalengeckOrSiegbarste · 28/06/2024 21:02

@rockingbird that was my fave spot too. Why is none of the stuff in the cabinet? Who emptied it and how?
Also, the plants are still being watered, which seems odd to me. Are the ghouls looking after them?

NewMe2024 · 28/06/2024 21:04

Yeah, I’m as intrigued by unusual homes as the next person, but this one really looks like it might belong to someone with MH issues and / or who isn’t selling by choice. Not great to laugh about it online.

OP find us a mansion with garish decor instead. They’re always good for a laugh!

MissIndecisive2023 · 28/06/2024 21:07

To be fair I wasn’t laughing at it. I just said I had never seen anything like it.

A day of carrying stuff out to a van and tipping it and that's a nice flat for a good price (if it sells at guide price).

Wouldn't take much effort to make a profit on that

leeverarch · 28/06/2024 21:12

The plants are surprisingly vivacious. I'm getting Little Shop of Horrors vibes...

Springwatch123 · 28/06/2024 21:12

It will make someone a lovely home. The house is beautiful and the view is quite nice as well.

It’s in a decent location too.

Don’t think I’d have enough time to get a mortgage in place before the auction (because I am actually quite interested in it, albeit slightly anxious about having to clear it myself)

This flat is in probably one of the noisiest spots in Bristol, sandwiched between a huge block of student flats and a hotel with a riotous bar popular with students/rugby players and anyone who wants to get wrecked after work. I bet the outgoing tenant is a student.

I’ve got two kids likely to study in Bristol so would be perfect for one of them!

Madcats · 28/06/2024 21:20

That flat has to have been rented out to students! I guess the landlord assumed that they'd moved out when he sent the agent to take photos.

I used to be 5 minutes walk away, in my Bristol Uni days.

ghostbusters · 28/06/2024 20:04

I thought the same until I got to photo 7🤣

Me too! 🤣

Churchview · 28/06/2024 21:24

It would be perfect for your kids OP. University just around the corner, close to all the nightlife, shops, bus routes etc. The only downside is trying to stay out of the bar. I lived just around the corner from there for a decade. It's a great place to live when you're young and the one making the racket...when you get older though so does living there. 😂

Countrygirlxo · 28/06/2024 21:31

Just wow.

CollyBobble · 28/06/2024 21:37

The first photo where the plants appeared made me jump!

I don't like house plants but they are truly awful.

I quite like the bats!

OhMehGoddess · 28/06/2024 21:41

Jasus GrinGrinGrin

I've really taken to Savills. But you don't see these crazy ones, may have to oggle again Grin

You could maybe remodel that dividing the living room into a second bedroom and then just having a smaller kitchen/diner. The bonus being that they are already kitted out for Halloween.

Jesus. It needs an exorcist not a buyer.
