Not everywhere in Scotland. We don't break up until end of next week. But the sun is shining.

We've got beautiful weather and another 6 days of school!

12 C and pouring rain, last day of school tomorrow.

Surely given that Glastonbury has just started and Wimbledon is next week, you'd expect rubbish weather?

We had a six week long heatwave in Sweden, the day schools broke up the weather turned to shit.

Wait what do you mean?! Have Scotland started their 6 weeks summer holiday? When do you start back for the new year?!

Seriously, how is this news? Scottish schools break up at the of June (Edinburgh finishes tomorrow) and goes back mid-August.

We don't break up till end of Friday so I'm fine with 24 hours more of rain. But after that I will join the girning.

The annual surprise that school holidays are done differently elsewhere always makes me laugh too.

Not just Scotland. Kids in Northern Ireland and the Republic not far behind us.
In fact I suspect England and Wales are the outliers 😉

Schools break tomorrow afternoon here and I can see lots of rain forecast...

Falkirk, Stirling and Clacks don’t finish until tomorrow.

It's not just pouring, it's blowing a hoolie and fucking freezing. The forecast next week for Glasgow does not have a single day with a predicted temperature over 15c.

Now that's fairly normal, but we usually say "oh but wasn't May glorious" or "we had that really hot fortnight in June" whereas this year it's been fecking cold and wet SINCE JANUARY.

We're tomorrow.

It's the law that it needs to rain for the next two weeks at least, then we'll get two days of sunshine, followed by overcast for a couple of days and then a couple more weeks of rain.
The week they go back to school will be a tropical heatwave.

We're northeast Scotland and don't break up till next next week.

Been lovely all week in Aberdeenshire. Had lunch outside today.

My school finishes tomorrow and we return on the 12th August. My DD's school finishes tomorrow and returns on the 19th August.

They normally break up two/ three weeks before England and go back mid August ish
We are having a term time holiday currently in Norfolk the weather is glorious ,touch would it stays that way until we come home on Monday!

I can confirm the sun was blasting in the window of my work in Aberdeen today but there was a chilly wind blowing in the open window (and the draughty closed ones too).
Still 6 more school days here. Back in on 19th Aug, I think.
