What do you no longer do ?

I don't listen to boring co workers stories of woe and get involved and make myself counsellor. I make the right noises and move on. Been reeled in with all that crap before.

I work to my wage and don't over exert myself whilst others are sitting round gossiping.

I only partake in 2 way relationships. Anyone wish to share what they no longer do?

I no longer feel pressured into staying too late at a party or drinking too much. I'm an adult and if I want to go to bed or not be too drunk, that's up to me.

Omg same. It makes me too ill now. I also find it boring picking my 40 year old mate whose had too much to drink off the floor when she's been chucked out of somewhere.

I no longer give my time for free to every sob story, only to get taken utter advantage of.

LemonCitron · 24/06/2024 16:39

I no longer wear uncomfortable shoes. It's comfort over looks all the way!

I should add I also no longer pander to my 65 year old alcoholic mother who is the same. Used to have to put her in taxis, take her drunken verbal abuse etc. Now I jjust make her cry when I call her out.

I no longer go to events I don’t want to, I just say no I can’t make that and that’s that.

Aparecium · 24/06/2024 16:44

I no longer say 'yes' to things I don't want to do. Equally, I no longer say 'no' to things I would like to do but am worried about.

Love that.

MorrisZapp · 24/06/2024 17:00

I no longer go abroad. I don't like it that much.

StringTheory1 · 24/06/2024 17:00

Iron

Chasingsquirrels · 24/06/2024 17:03

Ironing.

Most of the things I don't do, I never did anyway 🤣

No longer wear heels, love it! Was never comfortable. I like the current trend of flats. Perfect for me!

Misorchid · 24/06/2024 17:05

I’m a big theatregoer, but I often leave in the interval if I’ve had enough, never used to do that.
Ironing.

The latter bit I want to do!

Peacefulbeach · 24/06/2024 17:08

Put make up on every single time I leave the house. Just a bit for work & going for lunch/drinks etc. My skin is glowing as a result!

VolvoFan · 24/06/2024 17:11

It's a work in progress, but; not giving a single solitary fuck about what people think of me. I don't have the energy anymore and life's too short.

Alalalalalongalalalalalonglonglilong · 24/06/2024 17:14

I no longer feel like I'm the only person who can't keep up. My pals keep saying they are tired and have lower energy and I'm like yep been that way my whole life. I no longer feel guilty or wrong for saying I need a rest.

PuppyMonkey · 24/06/2024 17:14

… watch Coronation Street.Grin

Hardly watch any live TV at all these days, in fact.

rainbowbee · 24/06/2024 17:15

I don't wear an underwire bra. I don't chase false friends. I don't get on the scales.

ViciousCurrentBun · 24/06/2024 17:19

Climb trees, I’m in my later fifties and don’t want to risk injury.

Oh, same. People still try to pressurise me though. I tell them bluntly to piss off these days!

That and not going to events I don't want to.

Wholeheartedly this. The last time I was 'out' out (ages ago) someone even tried to 'peer pressure' me into staying, making some stupid remark that I can't even remember but it was a dig at me for not wanting to stay out until stupid o clock getting drunk. I laughed. I'm not thirteen anymore.

Funkyslippers · 24/06/2024 17:23

Parkrun. Did it for about 3 years nearly every Saturday morning. Never got any better. Now the kids are older I get up when I like and enjoy the quietness without having to rush out the door
