Frozen musical in London - is it worth it?

I'm keen on seeing Frozen in the West End and I've just found out they close this Autumn.

Prices are high for the good seats so I was wondering if it was worth it for you?

I love theatre and have seen several of the touring productions, and a few West End shows too.

I live about 2.5 hours away on the train from London so I want it to be good if I'm going to go. Or is it just very overhyped?

Yes!!!!! It is most definitely worth it!

OrigamiOwls · 23/06/2024 23:21

I enjoyed it and would say if it's the sort of thing you think you'll enjoy then you probably will 😊

Deebee90 · 23/06/2024 23:33

I saw it in new York and it was absolutely fantastic.

I had zero expectations and just went for my daughter’s sake. And it was fantastic.

I’ve been 3 times. It’s brilliant.

We go to the theatre all the time and LOVED IT

Moobieboobie · 23/06/2024 23:35

Yep, worth every penny! Absolutely brilliant show

Like @CalamitiousJoan - I went as a treat for my then-6-year-old - but it was me weeping with joy at the end of act I.

Exactly the same! It's not really my thing but it was so good!

Comedycook · 23/06/2024 23:39

It's really good!

DinnaeFashYersel · 23/06/2024 23:39

Best musical I've seen. Love it.

willnotvotetory · 23/06/2024 23:42

It's amazing, my daughter and I loved it first and second time around. I am sad that it is coming to an end!

wednesday32 · 23/06/2024 23:50

It is amazing! Enough jokes that go over children’s heads, for the adults and the choreography and songs are fabulous. Check out view from my seat when looking for tickets so you can work out where is best for you. The most expensive tickets aren’t necessarily the best x

We came down from Scotland just to go see Frozen (a treat at for daughters 8th birthday) oh my god it was amazing!! We both loved it!

Winky2024 · 23/06/2024 23:55

It’s breathtakingly good.

I live in Liverpool but do the west end regularly (guilty pleasure).

Hand on heart, Frozen stands out as one of the very best for me. Oh and I bought a cuddly Olaf who wouldn’t fit in a bag so had his own chair at dinner and on the tube back to the hotel 😊⛄️😂

Go!!! You will love it ❄️

longdistanceclaraclara · 24/06/2024 00:23

Yes yes yes!

Hobbiesareapita · 24/06/2024 00:30

Apart from the very pissed parents in front of us I really recommend it . Granddaughter aged 4 was absolutely captivated. The production was excellent.

Strokethefurrywall · 24/06/2024 01:55

I went with 11 & 9 year old boys with "meh" expectations but it was amazing! Highly recommend, the entire theatre gave a standing ovation!
Definitely go!

StandingMyGround888 · 24/06/2024 04:05

It was alright. We left at the interval.

ajsbd · 24/06/2024 05:52

I didn't love it, but then I'm not the target audience; and the kids did seem to love it.

Given that it is closing, if you have a relevant aged child and the means to do so, I would go and see it.

I went last weekend and it was brilliant. My 7yo absolutely loved it too. I'd definitely try and go if you can.

junesummer2024 · 02/07/2024 20:21

Ah I don't have kids but I'm a huge Disney fan so I'm hoping it won't be aimed too much towards kids.

Sounds like the general consensus is to go though!

Anyone think they might potentially do a UK tour after they close? I was holding out for an announcement of one, but don't want to miss the London one completely if it turns out they don't tour.

Definitely go! It’s brilliant.

RabbitsRock · 02/07/2024 20:34

I wonder if it will tour too.
