I'm just drinking my first cuppa, while the kittens bounce around like loons 🤣 they're very funny to watch but do disturb the peace a bit! I'll get breakfast shortly - toasted tea cakes I think 😋

We're doing pretty much the same as yesterday, today, and doing nothing! I want to strip the sofa and chair, and upload some things to Vinted. And both girls have homework to be done, plus their rooms to finish sorting out after our week away.

Roast chicken for tea, in giant Yorkshire puddings, with roast spuds and veg. I bought some fancy ice cream for afters 😋

After that, early showers, make sure homework's done, flop in front of the TV for an hour with my book, then early nights all round ready for school and work 💤

Well @lucysmam as someone who saw Taylor a few weeks ago, and who saw Troye Sivan last night, I can confidently say she has nothing on Troye. I did very much enjoy the row of dads stood at the back of the standing area hoping and praying it would end soon and their child would appear 🤣

Today I am mainly recovering from a hangover, we’re off to Cheshire oaks in a bit (I’m not the one driving!), then we’re back to London as we fly home soon. When we get back to London I’m taking our son to watch inside out 2.

Ah I remember when our cat was a kitten, they’re fab, but it is a relief when they finally fall asleep after causing absolute chaos.

Finished a night shift, sat outside with a cup of tea. Birds on the bird feeder, peace and quiet.

@Simonjt I can't decide whether I like Troye Sivan or not - maybe I need another listen! Dd1 has me listening to Sukie Waterhouse, Ethel Cain, and The Neighbourhood (I think that's right!) atm - there's a festival she wants me to attend with her in August & all three are playing.

Well, as it's FINALLY stopped raining and we have long light nights as it's midsummer, DD and i have been out cycling a lot FRidy and Saturday.
We probably won't today because we've moved Father's Day to this weekend so we're going for fish and chips and a walk on the pier straight after church - I don't normally go to church since I lost my mum as the music makes me cry but we'll see how it goes today.

We've had eggs on toast with mushrooms and tomato. Two coffees and strawberries just picked from the garden. All the windows and back door open. Going out for some driving practice soon. Burgers for dinner.

Laying in bed in a London Premier Inn with sore feet and no voice trying, to get the energy to get up and go home

Had a coffee brought to be in bed 😊 then sat in garden for a bit, sun very hot already. Goin pilates at half 11, then chill most of day, unless I get off my backside and do some vinted stuff! Plus have a day off tomo!

Good morning @Lucysmam and others. I have had three coffees and a croissant with strawberry jam. I'm having a lazy morning before going to a garden party at a friend's house this afternoon. Fortunately the weather is set fair so a hat will be worn. Trout fillet and salad for dinner later.

On holiday in a wisteria covered stone cottage with glorious views. Off hill walking soon and then back to drink pimms in the very lovely garden and have bought some lbaking Camembert to dunk bread and sausages in.

Never a guarantee in central Scotland! Definitely fingers crossed for sun.

Morning! Final day of the festival weekend. I'm exhausted. I hired a walker to get about this year and its made the world of difference. I can even hide snacks under the seat 😆

Today, I'm looking forward to McFly, Nothing But Thieves and Green Day. After that, I'm looking for my bed and taking my house guests back to the ferry tomorrow so that I can sleep all week!

Just about to take the child & dog to the woods for an hour or so. Then back to do some housework before a bbq & rum in the garden & listening to iow festival this afternoon. (We're about 10 mins walk from it & didn't get tickets this year but can see the stage from the living room so sound is perfect!)

Morning. Quiet day except wash my living room curtains and go get a few bits that didn't come in on line shop or didn't like substitute. Feel like coming down with a cold. Luckily we did a lot of chores yesterday. Going to make chicken casserole and chilli to freeze and just do cold meat, new pots and salad for lunch for us all. Enjoy your day.

I saw Greenday in Manchester on Friday and they were incredible!

Morning! I've just finished a cup of tea and about to get a shower and get the dogs out. I'm going in holiday on a couple days so have things to do to get ready.
I've got to pick a couple things up at M&S, get keys copied (better check they are open on Sunday), sort some clothes and wash any that need it, clean the oven (it's gross and have people staying while away), do some paperwork, clean my room. Ugh no more MN better get moving!

Bit of tidying up, pottering, will nip to the shops then watch the football later. Salad for dinner because it's hot today. Very normal, boring for some, but my favourite kind of day.

Beautiful day here so we want to make the most.

Currently doing homework / ironing / packing for oldest DC residential next week and then we'll be packing up lunch and heading to the woods for a few hours with our bikes. There is an excellent bike trail and a good park the kids like and it's nice and shady.

This evening we will have a fake bbq. All the bbq food but cooked indoors and eaten outside.

Good morning Lucysmam and All. After having a virus for 3 weeks I am finally feeling better which is a relief. Just had a cuppa and about to make some porridge. Then will pop a wash on - weather looks like it will be a warm one today so will try to get a couple of loads dried outside.
Online shop coming at lunchtime, then will try and get some DD to do some homework and then we’re going to the cinema to see Inside Out 2.
Then will try and give back garden a well overdue mow late afternoon and hopefully have some time to sit in the garden with my cuppa and a book before getting everything ready for school and work next week.

Good morning @lucysmam and followers , it’s a quiet day here, apart from the birds I can’t hear anything.
So far I have chopped back the overgrown pond plants and DH has cleaned out the pump, goodness knows it needed it!
I have applied the first coat of metal paint to the inside of a metal trunk that’s been hidden in his shed for years. I want to tart it up so I can use it for storage - it will be silver inside and sage green outside so should look ok when it’s done.
dh is supposed to be walking the dog but she’s pestering me because he’s ignoring her, if he doesn’t go in the next ten minutes I’ll take her across the field.
I’ll get on with some gardening before lunch then sit and read my book this afternoon.

Ds1 and I are making Victoria sponges today. First batch in the oven while I drink tea. One more to go after that.
DH and Ds2 have camped this weekend, due back this afternoon.

Just waiting for DD to finish cleaning out her hamsters cage then we're off to Dunelm and Hobbycraft for a mooch round and to buy some sewing machine supplies.

Thinking of a nap in the hammock this afternoon but will have to get lucky on that as it's a sunny day so I bet DD and her friends will invade the garden with screaming and water pistols,
