Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, while the kittens bounce around like loons 🤣 they're very funny to watch but do disturb the peace a bit! I'll get breakfast shortly - toasted tea cakes I think 😋

We're doing pretty much the same as yesterday, today, and doing nothing! I want to strip the sofa and chair, and upload some things to Vinted. And both girls have homework to be done, plus their rooms to finish sorting out after our week away.

Roast chicken for tea, in giant Yorkshire puddings, with roast spuds and veg. I bought some fancy ice cream for afters 😋

After that, early showers, make sure homework's done, flop in front of the TV for an hour with my book, then early nights all round ready for school and work 💤

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning @lucysmam and all!

Rainy, muggy morning here. Got the tumble dryer going which is annoying in almost July!

It's a pottering around at home day today. Teens are out with friends this afternoon so we've just got the little ones at home.

We need to change the beds today, hang up uniform and work clothes for the week etc. I want to do some baking for snacks for the week.

We might pop out this afternoon to an open garden/plant sale/afternoon tea thing, or we might not, just see how we feel later!

Sausage and mash for tea, really looking forward to it.

Bath with my kindle and a gin tonight 🙂

Good morning lucysmam & everyone. Your roast in a giant Yorkshire pud sounds fab @lucysmam! Just having a cuppa in bed but it doesn’t taste brilliant as the water was boiled quite a few times. Getting up soon to hoover as downstairs is covered in rabbit poo! Nearly have enough dirty clothes in the machine to put a wash on but it’s dull atm so may not get to hang it out. Dishwasher needs loading/unloading as per & might persuade DH that the thing he wants most in the world is to tackle the mountain of bags for life! It really has got ridiculous. I could do with a top up shop so will brave Tescos at some point. It’s getting busier as we have holidaymakers around. Cold pizza from last night for brunch then looking forward to bangers & mash with broccoli & sausage gravy tonight. I do double cream mash which is an absolute game changer. DH is hoping to go for a bike ride later. DD15 is home but we probably won’t see her as she holes up in her room. The bunnies need a good grooming so will try to grab them later - they’re not keen! Have a lovely Sunday folks!

viciouscurrantbun that sounds blissful!

Morning all!

I’m currently vegging on the sofa while DP makes corned beef hash and eggs for our breakfast. I’ve taken DS1 to his football match, DS2 is still in bed.

Later DP will be continuing laying the patio in the back garden and I will nip out for bits for dinner - PP has made me fancy baked Camembert now - I reckon DP will be amenable.

I’ve just looked at my diary for next week and it’s really busy!! All nice stuff, garden party, awards do’s and lunches but there will be a fair bit of wine coming my way so might plan for an early night tonight!

Morning @lucysmam and all. Happy Sunday.
It's a glorious day here. Got up early and went for a run that turned into a walk. Am feeling a bit sorry for myself as my injury does not seem to be going away any time soon.
Am off to meet my mum and brother for lunch and a wander along the Thames.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone.

some lovely sounding mornings and plans.

I have had my usual lazy morning of tea and time on here. Then had a lovely long chatty phone call for almost an hour with my best friend who lives in Australia. I will never not appreciate being able to chat to her for free with internet calls!

Just had tea and toast. Need to go and have a quick shower and get dressed and then DH and I are starting to pack up glasses and crockery etc from a dresser that we are getting rid of and it’s being picked up next week so needs emptying.

This afternoon I’m planting a few new plants I bought and doing some weeding. Then planning an hour reading my book in the garden.

Roast beef with all the trimmings for dinner.

Just on the long drive home from a lovely weeks holiday in the Lake District. Should be home by 4 and will have a busy evening unpacking, washing, picking DD up from station as she stayed out last night after the Taylor Swift concert. Need to clear lots of emails for my business before I go back to work tomorrow. Also have a foster dog arriving tomorrow night so need to get babygates, dog bed etc set up (dog is 9 months and not house trained and currently in season so need to block off or cover anything at risk!).

No rest for the wicked it seems!

I love this thread! We moved Father’s Day this weekend so we’re off to visit my parents at lunchtime. Having a roast for lunch so hoping to just do beans on toast type thing for tea. And then get ready for work/school tomorrow so minimise the morning rush. A nice easy day. 🙂

MaryMaryVeryContrary · 23/06/2024 12:18

Roast is on here, in laws will be round in an hour (they live just down the road), 1 year old son is napping and 4 year old DD is playing with her toys. DP is on the PS4 and I’m having a glass of wine and relaxing. Later on we will go to the beach for ice cream/coffee. Enjoy all!

@lucysmam kittens? You have kittens? Oh my what have I missed here?

Do you have any pictures?

My boys are 2 and 4 now and I honestly think they are the easiest and most loveable living creatures in my life. I often tell the kids I wish they were as well behaved as the cats 😂

lucysmam · 23/06/2024 13:42

@Crunchymum yes! Two - boy and girl. They're currently asleep amongst the cut offs from some bags I'm altering for work

Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?
