High in sugar!

At least it is natural sugars, and not refined.

soupfiend · 22/06/2024 15:02

Just have a nice protien high tea later, drink soup or coffee in the meantime

Teacherprebaby · 22/06/2024 15:05

If it is period or stress, cut yourself some slack and have a salad for dinner. If it's boredom you might need to change your routine.

It's a really good thing to note what you've eaten and see if there might be a reason.

Wills890 · 22/06/2024 14:59

Nah! If you're anything like me, you'll find somewhere nice to stop and eat while you're out 😂

🤣 there's no shops or anywhere to eat between my house and the park

OP posts:
AstonMartha · 22/06/2024 15:06

Why do you think that you are eating?
hunger? Boredom? Something else?

LonginesPrime · 22/06/2024 15:08

Idontgetit33, haha, sorry - what I was going to say is that pot noodles and sugary treats are designed to be addictive, so it's not surprising that you eat one and it sets off a chain reaction of seeking out more of the same.

But I didn't want to sound judgey as junk food obviously has its place for a lot of people and if you're happy with eating it, then have at it!

DeedlessIndeed · 22/06/2024 15:09

I get into this rut too OP.

To get out of it I either eat a boring but filling meal that feels pious (jacket potato and beans, poached egg on toast, a cheese and salad sandwich etc).

Or I get a healthy lunch out - amazing fresh Mexican food or whatever.

Either way it snaps me out of it!

Loubilou23 · 22/06/2024 15:16

Moose 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Same here, DeedlessIndeed - I do barley, chicken, diced potato and carrots in stock - so incredibly boring but shuts down the food noise perfectly.

ImPunbelievable · 22/06/2024 14:56

Ok so you've eaten about 2000-2200 calories and 200g of added sugar (not including the grapes). Daily allowance is 30g.

How do you feel about that? Are you planning eating more today? I was very obese until recently so I'm no stranger to sugar though even to me this does seems extreme.

I dont feel anything. Yes I will eat later but I'm not sure what yet.

Your post did jog a memory ages ago around 14 years. I was moaning about my weight and changes I could make. One of them was to slow down on drinking coke . A mums- netter suggested making sure I drink 2 litres of water a day and if I still want a can of coke after drinking 2 litres to have it . She said I will likely find I don't want it and she was right. I think I lost around 3 stone at the time I felt so much better in myself... them i got pregnant again and let lt all go to pot.

I felt so determined then. But im not really feeling it now.

I don't know my weight but I'm 5ft 6 and size 18

Op, I'm you.
You need 3 things:

  1. To be in the zone
  2. To have a big food reset for a few days
  3. To eat way more protein and it will do some kind of sorcery and you'll crave less junk
BluebirdBoogie · 22/06/2024 15:27

Think of what a terrible example you're setting your children. No offence, but it almost sounds like you're proud of it (laughing emoji when saying you have to buy it)

Eat meals, add plenty of veg to each one, drink lots of water.

Listen to podcasts by Tim Spector or read up on the subject. It's so important.

Not really happy doing it. Pissing myself of. It may be because period is due though. I do feel a bit emotional. So probably is that I won't do it tomorrow I would have ate everything by then 🤣

Thank you. Could you just name some protein foods ? I think chicken and fish? But I know there must be more . Easy stuff would be even better because I have alot of things/stresses going on.

soupfiend · 22/06/2024 15:37

Nuts, cheese, milk, chicken, pork, beef, tofu, fish, seafood

These are the highest protien foods (although wrong order)

Some plant based foods also have some protein in them but they're nowhere near animal product levels. So legumes, lentils, pulses

Timeturnerplease · 22/06/2024 15:38

Since 12pm (I don’t eat before then) I have consumed three slices of a Serrano ham, a packet of Pom Bears, a protein bar and about 1,425 strawberries during and after our fruit picking trip.

Not going to help address the weight loss stall.

I will tell you a little something. I have been through so much stress. It actually never stops to the point I sometimes think what's the point of this shit life . I would never a actually go there .

But yes sometimes I have to laugh at my own stupidness . Because if I didn't laugh I would cry and I really don't want to.

Gosh. Agree - the only way I can not eat junk is not to buy it! If my kids want a treat/dessert I just buy stuff I don't like. Bread though - that is tricky to stay away from.

seensome · 22/06/2024 15:51

I sympathise, I stress eat, popchips (healthier crisps, not if you eat them all) and chocolate is dangerous to have in the house for me. Having more filling meals help, porridge or eggs for breakfast? Perhaps start breakfast later mid morning fresh healthy soup and crackers for lunch.

I'm going to do that in a bit I think. I do have jacket potatoes and eggs so I might do poached eggs or jacket a bit later.

ThatTimeIKnewFamousPeople · 22/06/2024 15:56

You'll feel hungry again soon, when you do have 2 boiled eggs and some veggies. It's really hard to over eat boiled eggs, they are so filling.

Also if you have chicken breast or a tin of fish it will achieve the same thing (let your body know it's full) but for some reason I find eggs easier

LonginesPrime · 22/06/2024 16:02

A quick protein snack I'll do that fills me up, OP, is a tin of tuna in brine/water with a bit of mayo, some sweetcorn or spring onions.
