I DO.NOT.GET.IT!! I find him sexless, irritating, patronising and smug...am I missing something? Pen is lovely and glowing, but I don't think they have even the teeniest bit of chemistry - I cannot understand the casting!! Admittedly I haven't read the books - is he this smug and overbearing in the books?

Thank you! I was saying to someone yesterday I couldn't really get into this series as much because I didn't see the appeal of the lead man. Although actually I didn't like Anthony either, but I could see why people would. This time I don't get it at all.

She'd have been so much better off with the nice explorer who would havae left her in peace to be Whistledown while he went off on his travels!

Anthony is hot, although I'm not sure he has much chemistry with his wife, and Benedict is also pretty hot although I wish they'd just let him be gay on the earlier series.

The men are all deeply unsexy to me. The Duke in the first series was sexy, but the Bridgerton brothers are very dull and easily confused.

I don't know what they did to him this season, its like they turned him into a bit of a twat for the first half and he's slimmed down to nothing!

Debling wasn't a good match for her, yeah, she'd have married pretty much anyone so she wasn't the spinster having to deal with which ever sister produced the heir but that's not what she really wanted

Isn't the whoring about supposed to portray how things were back then though, it was pretty much the norm for arsto men. The whole falling in love and turning into men who loved and supported their wives is probably less realistic

I totally agree, I think he looks like a frog. DD (young adult) and I binged episodes 5-8 yesterday and we agreed he just wasn’t good looking enough for the role. I would have been happy to watch that sex scene with the guy who was in the first season, now he was hot!
