Mattress when sleeping on sons bedroom floor

My son has never been a consistent all night sleeper, which I have no problem with. Lately I've had to move into his room and sleep on the hard floor from 4.00am....what do people use as a mattress?

I don't have lots of money or space but I need something as my body hurts! Coosleeping or bed sharing is not an option.

Thanks

Z beds are good.

Currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor of my nearly 2 year olds room.

I slide the mattress down between his cot and wall to store in the day. A bit annoying by it saves room and means I have a proper mattress to sleep on.

I then set up my bed before bedtime.

Could that be an option so you at least have something a bit more comfy?

We used a thermarest inflatable camping mat for this.

We have one of these from H&M

Rectangular tasselled cushion

bonus being that they can double up as a little play cushion or cosy corner for reading etc and they actually look really nice so you don’t have to “hide” them at all. Not quite full length but don’t find we need it, even my 6 foot DH is comfy on these!

I have the z bed linked above for this same reason. Although there is no pretense here that either of my kids (2 and 5) sleep anywhere other than the floor bed with me so they dont actually get folded... The single is much more supportive than the double if you go this way, fyi.

I sewed a load of pillow cases together along the long edge, into a big chain. Stuff each one with a pillow and you've got a decent mattress for occasional use. Take the pillows out again when you need them
