Justin Timberlake arrested for drink driving

Hello all

Pictures emerging of him in handcuffs today.

What's the bet that he will released a supposedly heart-felt statement apologising for his wrong doings and then enter rehab (the celebrity get-out-of-jail-free card)?

Horrible, arrogant man that he is. He's also incapable of being faithful apparently.

Same as Ant McPartlin as far as I'm concerned. A cheater with a drink problem.

Drink driving is utterly reprehensible and I really cannot see why it's treated like a minor misdemeanour and celebs are do their tiny bit of penance then it's all to be forgotten about.

Oh dear. Sad

Pinkbits · 18/06/2024 18:18

Always amazed how quickly the public forgave Ant, the scuzzy little man that he is.

tahinitoast · 18/06/2024 18:20

Following with interest. Was randomly down a tattle rabbit hole last night about him... there's been a lot of rumours about him that do not portray him well, particularly the way he treats women.

Apparently his vile friends on the scene were pleading with the officers to "cut him some slack" and playing the "don't you know who he is" card. Angry

I agree!! He's so smug!

NotADailyMailJournalist · 18/06/2024 18:27

Re Ant McPartlin - it would have been interesting to see what happened to that bellend if he were not being propped up by Declan Donnelly and had to ingratiate himself back into the public's good books solely by himself.

And yes, I agree Justin seems to have "questionable" attitudes towards women.

with Justin, this could go 2 ways:

  1. he redeems himself as the all-American boy (probably via aforementioned statement written by PR gurus and a stint in rehab); or
  2. this leads to the floodgates opening of other shitty behaviour by him and he gets cancelled.

I don't think that JT is a very nice person. He was vile to Britney Spears. Hasn't he already done one "heartfelt apology" regarding his behaviour towards women?

Deadpretty · 18/06/2024 18:33

There is never an occasion when DD would ever be acceptable, but when you absolutely have the means to pay for a driver/cabs and it is not an emergency there is no excuse. It’s a lazy, selfish act. I hope they throw the book at him tbh.

rewilded · 18/06/2024 18:34

Was it the morning after drinking so he didn't think he was over the limit? That seems to happen a lot. Not excusing it at all.

Pinkbits · 18/06/2024 18:35

Without Dec, he'd probably have disappeared down the wormhole of substance misuse. Remember Dec and Holly doing Im a Celeb while ITV decided whether to bury their careers or not. It was obviously deemed drunk driving wasn't that bad despite the disgraceful nature of it, and back to primetime tv he went.

Cant say Ive heard any sleaze on Trousersnake. All that Disney stuff from an early age can't have set them up for a sensible adult life, look at poor Brit!

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 18/06/2024 18:36

I couldn't agree more, dead pretty I think any and all drink driving convictions should result in a significant ban requiring a retest.

It was as he exited a restaurant where he had been eating (and drinking) with friends, police were clearly parked opposite the restaurant looking out for diners drinking, so he's clearly not the sharpest but he is a tool by the sound of it.

Nw22 · 18/06/2024 18:38

@Deadpretty totally agree. Drink driving is never forgivable and should always result in being banned from driving

Deadpretty · 18/06/2024 18:39

He was pulled over in the early hours of the morning after partying at a hotel. Not quite getting stopped taking the kids to football practice…

He supposedly cheated on Britney with Nicole Appleton. There is certainly a photo of them leaving a nightclub together in the back of the car and her trying to hide her face.

He apparently said something on stage where he backtracked on the apology to Britney and Janet Jackson.

He made sure that Brittney and Janet Jackson both sacrificed their careers for him. I used to really like him and it annoys me that I cannot listen to cry me a river with him getting paid royalties.

Also, Ant crashed into a child and broke their arm. No idea how he is still considered to be a suitable family entertainment presenter.

JackJarvisEsq · 18/06/2024 18:50

I have no sympathy for drink drivers

JTs profile is taking an absolute dive. I’d recommend the YouTuber Sloan and his Let’s Get Into It podcast

Let's not forget Katie Price or are you just moaning about male celebrity drink drivers?

Didnt she fall into obscurity? Dirty mansion etc? It's hardly a comparison to Ant and his swift return to primetime TV, BGT, IAC, Sat Night Takeaway not to mention attnding the bloody King's coronation. Pretty sure Katie and Harvey werent there.

I'm mostly moaning about how celebs seems to be re-accepted very quickly/easily by the public following drink driving. I don't think that's true of KP - the public abhors her. Indeed, her various driving offences are just the tip of the iceberg of her bad behaviour. My main hatred for her actually lies on how cruel she's been to animals.

I had no idea a child was seriously injured and I remember reading about it at the time. Probably just me.

NotADailyMailJournalist · 18/06/2024 19:10

@Pinkbits eurgh, yeah, I did notice Ant's vile grinning mug in that Behind the Scenes at the Coronation programme. i'd forgotten about that. What a shameful decision by the palace aides.

I mean, none of us are perfect, we all make mistakes, but there are CONSEQUENCES. Criminals should not be fawned over by the public or the royal family etc.

Rapist footballers also spring to mind. Yeah do your time mate but when you get out of jail, get a job which doesn't involve me explaining to my (non-existent) 5 year old son why he can't wear a shirt with your name on the back.

George Michael was another one famously caught drunk driving, amongst other indiscretions, but he was both talented and likeable and I think the public took pity on him. Poor man had a tragic death in the end.

There's bodycam footage out there from years ago when Reece Witherspoon (America's Sweetheart!) and her husband were pulled over for drunk driving (husband was driving she was just a drunken passenger). It's full of her yelling "don't you know who I am?!" and "you're going to be sorry!" to the arresting officer.

Don't believe the humble down-to-earth personas; I think most celebrities think they're above it all and deserve special treatment.

As for JT's friends....didn't one of his buddies arrange for two homeless men to fight each other as some kind of bachelor party "joke"? 😡

Edit: looked it up, the friend videotaped homeless people congratulating Justin and Jessica on their wedding and it was shown as a " joke" at the festivities. Haha haha .... Yeah, really funny🙄
