I'm just making my first cuppa of the day to drink in the 'spot' I've claimed here in Liverpool 🤣.

What a night last night! We screamed, sang, and danced the night away 💃 It was fabulous!

I'm hoping everyone's up shortly so we can head into the city, do some of the Taylor Trail & explore a bit. Plus find somewhere good to eat 😋

Tonight will be showers and an early one all round I think, ready for more exploring tomorrow.

What about all of you? 🙂

Morning @lucysmam and all. Happy Sunday.
Glad the concert lived up to expectations. Enjoy your day sightseeing.
I'm taking my Dad out to lunch for Father's Day and then will be watching the football later.
Enjoy your day everyone.

UnravellingTheWorld · 16/06/2024 09:14

Good morning! The sun is shining here - hope it stays!

I'm pregnant, but enjoying my weekly treat of real coffee and the usual Sunday French toast breakfast. Husband is working this morning, but I'll get the roast prepped before going to church.

I promised the 3 year old to play catch later on, and should probably pull out some weeds from the garden. Carpet fitter is coming tomorrow so I have to vacuum and mop the newly decorated spare room later. Then we'll probably facetime the ILs at tea time.

Sundays are our busiest day of the week! Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Morning @lucysmam

Im so glad you had a good time. Great memories made. Have a great trip sightseeing.

Was up at 4 with the dog though he’s been snoozing since 5 so that been fab. I managed to get back to sleep.

Not much planned so far. Another cup of tea then just a mooch about the house. Weather rubbish here.

Popfan · 16/06/2024 09:15

So glad you had a good night @lucysmam ! Did you trade all your bracelets?

DaffydownClock · 16/06/2024 09:17

Good morning @lucysmam , so pleased you had a great time at the concert!
So far I have walked the dog, made a cake which is in the oven and I will make a cheesecake after prepping a roast for dinner. Then that’s it!

@Popfan I have 9 sat on the table that I might wear today & see if anyone's trading on the trail. I think the girls have more left than me.

Well my weekend is far less exciting than yours! We had friends' DC/our DCs friends sleep over last night whilst their parents went out. They went to sleep at 11:30 and were up at 5!

I did us all a cooked breakfast. DH has taken DS to a football tournament.
The other DC are downstairs playing Minecraft and I'm about to have a shower and wash my hair. Weather looks ok so may go to park for a bit, and then later, once the friends have been picked up, I'm cooking a tagine and the DC will give DH his Father's Day bits.

ErrolTheDragon · 16/06/2024 09:27

In bed sneezing ...DH had some sort of lurgy a few days ago and has evidently donated it to me. Annoying but hopefully not too bad, his didn't last long.
We're intending to go and look for some mid-sized suitcases for an upcoming trip to Switzerland as our normal ones are a bit large for lugging on trains, and then go to RHS Bridgewater as it should be nice later today.

Good morning all, an organisation day here, its the summer school holidays here so we’re off to the UK from tomorrow until the following Tuesday. So we all need to finish packing, empty the fridge, get everything ready for the pet sitter etc. It looks like the weather is slightly better next week, which should make packing easier. I picked a flight leaving at 7:30am, what was I thinking.

This morning I went on a nice walk with the dog and the kids, we were chased by a bird, it must have had a nest, it was dive bombing us, so we had to run down the road like the huge wimps we are.

Have a lovely sunday everyone

zingally · 16/06/2024 09:37

Eggs for breakfast, quickly followed by coffee and a few cheeky biscuits!

Off over to a friends later. She is chauffeuring us to a national trust place about 30 minutes away for a cream tea.

troppibambini6 · 16/06/2024 09:39

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone else.

Slow start to the day here. Just made my second coffee and some frozen pret chocolate croissants for everyone which I highly recommend.

Dd2 is in a residential so I'm spared the usual Sunday routine of driving round the Cheshire countryside getting her to her various different matches.

We've given dh his Father's Day stuff and I will make him a bacon butty (not a fan of croissants!) when he's out of the shower. He's then going to football with the boys while I wait in for the sky man to come.

We are going out for food later.
Hope everyone has a lovely day Smile

Wazzzzzuuuuuuup · 16/06/2024 09:50

Having a laze in bed. Thinking about a second cup of coffee and some toast and fruit. I may make bacon sarnies for dh and the teen dcs if they want. Teens will give gifts to dh.

Weather is not great here today, I was hoping for walk but may pop to the gym instead. Later we're meeting ILs for a drink. Then home for a roast and watch the football tonight.

RabbitsRock · 16/06/2024 09:53

Morning lucysmam & everyone. So glad you had a fab night lucysmam. I’m in bed waiting for DH to finish in the bathroom. My hair is way overdue for a wash! Retrieved the volumising mousse from DD15’s room. She’s always pinching my stuff! Will probably have leftovers for brunch as I’m working at 12 & we’re considering having Indian delivered tonight. When I was downstairs making a cuppa earlier, I noticed how mucky the kitchen floor is so I’ll mop that after my shift & bleach the surfaces as I didn’t get round to doing them yesterday. Also need to pop to give DF his card & pressies at some point. DD hasn’t bothered for quite a few years now 😢Looking forward to the footie tonight. I’m not usually a fan but do like to cheer England on 🇬🇧⚽️Have a great Sunday all!

PandaChopChop · 16/06/2024 09:58

I've missed these threads for a few weeks, glad to hear you had an amazing time @lucysmam

I've been laid up with a chest infection for days. We've all had a horrible virus for two weeks and then this. Supposed to be taking exDH and DC for father's day meal but absolutely not well enough to be out and about so they are going on their own. Feel a bit guilty about it but I am still paying for it.

Urgently need some shopping so need to ask my friend to help.

Another day of TV (I have watched ALOT of TV this week), might try and sit in the garden later when the sun comes out.

MintsPi · 16/06/2024 10:00

Working until 4. I am lucky enough to be able to MN at work but this means I have a very quiet day. I also lone work so nobody to talk to so the day drags. I have good things to look forward to though! My mum and stepdad are coming round later for pizza and to pick up Fathers Day gifts and then I will be cheering on England

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

ssd · 16/06/2024 10:01

So glad you had a great night @lucysmam . Can you share any pictures of your outfits, with your faces blurred out? I'd love to see what you all wore. As i said before, the TS phenomenon has passed me by Smile

lucysmam · 16/06/2024 10:04

@ssd, I think there is a solitary photo of me on one of the girls phones, I'll see when they get up 🤷‍♀️

Morning @lucysmam!

We're off for a family day outing...taking my husband out for Father's Day- going on the local steam train & then a meal at the other end. Will return this evening just in time for the football & party food. 🥳 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Bit of a strange day conscience wise for me, not taking my own dad out. Lots of background, he's not a nice person at all & doesn't even bother to acknowledge my children's birthdays, (husband & children don't like him at all). But even though he's a horrible person, I still feel awful for not inviting him today- I'm constantly having a battle with the angel & devil that sit on my shoulders! 😂

LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand · 16/06/2024 10:14

Good morning @Lucysmam and others. I'm glad you and the girls had a good time at the concert. I had a decent night's sleep. Two coffees then a trip to Aldi. I'm not long home and I've had toast with marmalade and a cuppa. I'll do a spot of tidying, then I'm making soup in the slow cooker and roasting a gammon joint. I'll visit mum in hospital this afternoon. Have a good day all.

Peridot1 · 16/06/2024 10:25

Good morning @lucysmam.

So glad you had a fabulous time.

Quiet one here as normal this morning. I was awake from 3am to around 6am so slept in a bit after that. Have had tea and toast and am just contemplating starting to get organised.

As it’s Father’s Day I am cooking. DH normally cooks. I need to pop out and get a cauliflower as DH has requested cauliflower cheese.

Funkyslippers · 16/06/2024 10:25

Good morning. Just having a latte then dd2 & I are going to walk to the new B&M. So exciting 😅. It's been the talk of the town!

Then this afternoon we're going to see Inside Out 2 and then I'll get her to tidy her room (Sunday ritual). I'm cooking kung pao pork for dinner, a recipe from the Pinch of Nom book. Cooked it on Fri and it was amazing. OH can have his when he gets home to watch the England game

embolass · 16/06/2024 10:31

Awake 6 ish and did my roots whilst scrolling here and Tik Tok with a tea. Showered then took dog for a quick walk, weather is dull grey and rainy again. DH is painting inside of the kitchen cupboards so jackets, hoover , shoes are everywhere and it’s chaos, you’d think it was the Sistine chapel!!D teens are still in bed. I’ll iron shortly and my stairs need a good hoover. Will nip to my dads this PM with his FD pressie then make dinner, piri piri chicken and a g&t.

Crunchymum · 16/06/2024 10:33

So glad you had the best time lucysmam knew you would but I'm glad to hear it was as epic as I imagined it would be.

Another one here who isn't having quite as an exciting weekend. DP is taking the kids to meet family (his cousin and kids are visiting from abroad so they are all heading out to meet at the NHM). I'm making a start on the chores.

Football and Chinese later for us adults later.
