Has anyone in the UK got Taylor Swift tickets on the day? If so how late did you leave it and how much did you end up paying?

Sorry it's another Taylor Swift thread (not sorry!)

Me and my friend are desperate to get tickets for Taylor on Tuesday in Cardiff. We both missed out when tickets went on sale last year, she was waitlisted for a code but hasn't heard anything yet. I didn't even get that far!

I've never bought from a tout before and hate them all with a passion. But we begrudgingly accept it's the only way we will get in, literally nothing on Twickets and we won't buy from Facebook given high rate of scams (there's already local posts about people being scammed this week 🤦🏻‍♀️).

I was wondering what people's experience has been so far of getting tickets on the day for Edinburgh and Liverpool and whether prices did come down at all. She's only in Cardiff for one night so I think that's adding to our anxiety about leaving everything too last minute, equally I'm not paying £450+ for restricted view or £800+ for tickets that cost less than half of that.

Positive and negative experiences welcome! X

Ticket master released a lot of extra tickets on Wednesday night this week for Thursday, Friday and saturday at Liverpool
Not the best seats obviously but £59 each and an amazing last minute opportunity
Email came down at 5pm and when I looked at 5.10 there was availability for all 3 days.
Keep an eye on your emails in case Cardiff do the same

mummabubs · 14/06/2024 20:00

Thanks. We're trying to weigh up paying to not be able to actually see the stage vs the atmosphere etc. For £59 I'd do it, those same tickets with no view are all still listed on sale sites at £450+ at the moment, it's astounding. Next cheapest ticket anywhere still £770+. Think we're going to have to just hold our nerve until the day like you say.

How do you get codes for Ticketmaster? Been looking for my daughter. 🤦‍♀️

I was looking all three days she was in Edinburgh and didn't see anything under £400 and most were much, much more. If there are any bargains out there they're getting snapped up pretty quick!

Klippityklopp · 14/06/2024 20:34

I got my ticketmaster code notification last Friday for Edinburgh, I'd already made plans do couldn't go but did have a look at the availability and there sermed to be lots available starting from just over £80.
My friend went on Friday, got a notification for Sunday so went again but I didn't ask how much she paid for them

Sammysquiz · 14/06/2024 20:41

Apparently with Liverpool some people got tickets by calling the venue on the day.

I think AXS will be your best bet though, you’ll need a code for Ticketmaster even for resale tickets.

You could only get shortlisted for a code if you tried to buy tickets when they went on general sale last year, and they're non-transferable as they're linked to your Ticketmaster account. 😭🤦🏻‍♀️

This is my fear. My husband had tickets in his basket two days ago and somone else bought them before he'd managed to get through checkout. (Heads up to anyone who uses Viagogo, their 10 minute basket "countdown" doesn't mean the tickets are only in your basket, just that the price is frozen for this time(!)

I applied for tickets when they were released, wasn't successful in getting a code then but got one on Friday morning.

Hapagirl48 · 14/06/2024 21:07

My friend kept refreshing Ticketmaster and got Edinburgh last day at 6:45pm for £110 so keep trying!

BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop · 14/06/2024 21:09

My pal got a notification on Friday, she didn’t see it until later as it had gone into her spam. We ended up getting £170 front standing tickets at 11am Saturday for the Saturday night. She used the code again to on the Sunday. It was great, we were very close to the stage. Keep an eye on your email once they have erected the stage and reassessed how many people they can get into the stadium.

Oh... Bugger. 😂 Daughter has decided since then she's an avid Swiftie.
Maybe next time!

I honestly don't know how this stuff works but Viagogo's got plenty of seats atm, many of them at £700-800. Would be brilliant to get them cheap on the day, though! Good luck!

PiggyPlumPie · 14/06/2024 21:31

My girls got tix for Edinburgh on the Saturday after going on the Friday. They paid £144 each and had really good seats. They went with a pal who had come off the waitlist on the Friday.

True, paying that amount would be physically possible if I used all my savings, but I just don't think I could justify what it would cost to take the kids away for a UK break for 3.5 hours of my own enjoyment 😅🤦🏻‍♀️ Thanks for the good luck wishes!

@BriceNobeslovesMurielHeslop That's absolutely amazing. I'm mid thirties and don't have the stamina to stand and dance for 3 hours but if those tickets came up at that price I'd be there! 😂

@mummabubs I’m 41 and was hobbling about the next day 😂. I have no idea how my 40 year old pal did it again the next night ( although if she’d gotten me another ticket I would have given it my best shot!)

DoneAdulting · 15/06/2024 08:36

Keep refreshing Twickets. They have been popping up all week, face value.

Zampa · 15/06/2024 08:50

As a PP referenced above, we got production hold tickets for £59 - email on Weds from Ticketmaster and went last night. I was a bit worried about the the restricted view but it was much better than I expected expected. Keep an eye on your emails!

Don’t worry about the restricted view
we couldn't see the back of the closed main stage but could see all the open stage (if that makes sense!)
Taylor was out on the open part most of it and the atmosphere was amazing
For £59 the seats were much better than I had thought they would be

mummabubs · 15/06/2024 15:29

Neither of us had a code for this morning's Ticketmaster sale, but we've just managed to get tickets via Vivid Seats. 'Only' £100 more than the face value, which while I still begrudge paying more it's so much cheaper than current Viagogo and Stub Hub pricing and we get a clear view of the stage.
Hope everyone who is looking manages to find tickets!

They were bought to sell on. Doubt they will get sold at face value.Ifvthey exist

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 15/06/2024 15:36

Never heard of Vivid Seats! Have you already been sent the tickets?

MessyNDepressy · 15/06/2024 15:41

I was taken off the waitlist and received a code about two weeks before the Edinburgh shows. Some restricted view seats went up for around £60 but I wanted to hold out. Had half given up on getting any when some standing tickets went up on Ticketmaster on the Saturday morning for that evening. Ended up front right standing for £170 each, we had an amazing time! Hope anyone looking for tickets gets them 🤞🏻.
