Has anyone in the UK got Taylor Swift tickets on the day? If so how late did you leave it and how much did you end up paying?

Sorry it's another Taylor Swift thread (not sorry!)

Me and my friend are desperate to get tickets for Taylor on Tuesday in Cardiff. We both missed out when tickets went on sale last year, she was waitlisted for a code but hasn't heard anything yet. I didn't even get that far!

I've never bought from a tout before and hate them all with a passion. But we begrudgingly accept it's the only way we will get in, literally nothing on Twickets and we won't buy from Facebook given high rate of scams (there's already local posts about people being scammed this week 🤦🏻‍♀️).

I was wondering what people's experience has been so far of getting tickets on the day for Edinburgh and Liverpool and whether prices did come down at all. She's only in Cardiff for one night so I think that's adding to our anxiety about leaving everything too last minute, equally I'm not paying £450+ for restricted view or £800+ for tickets that cost less than half of that.

Positive and negative experiences welcome! X

@Tacocatgoatcheesepizza I hadn't either, but reading a Wales Online article this morning they mentioned tickets were still available via Viagogo and Vivid Seats, with a direct link to the site.

They operate the same ticket guarantee as other sellers (if tickets aren't authentic or don't arrive in time you get a full refund) and they have solid ratings on Trust Pilot. Tickets are transferred via AXS. Definitely felt nerve wracking but given neither of us even have a code for Ticketmaster and even then it would be restricted view seats we felt that paying 25% above face value was worth it. Hopefully true! 😅

@Tacocatgoatcheesepizza Sorry to answer your question, order confirmed through Vivid Seats and the seller has until tomorrow to transfer them. They are showing as pending in my AXS profile. They're a regular seller on the site so I feel as confident as I can feel that it isn't all a big scam, but until we're sat in the stadium I think I'll be pinching myself 🤦🏻‍♀️ So many scams on Facebook marketplace at the moment it's hard to trust anyone!

Don’t worry about the restricted view
we couldn't see the back of the closed main stage but could see all the open stage (if that makes sense!)
Taylor was out on the open part most of it and the atmosphere was amazing
For £59 the seats were much better than I had thought they would be

This. You see a hell of a lot more with the restricted view tickets than you’d expect. There’s screens everywhere, the seats are kind of behind but still to the sides of the stage and she performs in the diamond for most of it so you can still watch most of it. My mates got £59 tickets for anfield last night at half 6, an hour before she came on. Was a rush getting ready I believe 🤣

My friend did last Friday for that night. She got a code on Ticketmaster and bought 4. My daughter and I were the lucky recipients of the spare 2. The tickets were just shy of £200 each but were fantastic. Halfway line at murrayfield, not far up on the aisle. Transferred tickets to me at 4pm, we got there at 7 pm and she came on at 7.15pm.
Don't want to give false hope but it did work for us.
Chatting to the ladies beside us, they had got their tickets earlier in the week - think the Wednesday for the Friday night. Paid roughly the same as us.
Good luck - I wasn't the biggest fan before but I am now!

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 15/06/2024 16:07

Part of my worry is that I will have to travel from the midlands to London and book accommodation etc. if the tickets don’t work it’s still going to have been a lot of time/money even if they’re refunded!

Such a dilemma

branvan5000 · 15/06/2024 16:08

Just looked on vivid seats and the cheapest is £491 for Cardiff 😭 my daughter is desperate to go.

Do it. Life is too short not to.

branvan5000 · 15/06/2024 16:34

If only I had £1000 😫

How do you get on a wait list / notified when late tickets are available on Ticketmaster? I am trying to get Dublin for my daughter (I do have a code from the first time round)

Theredjellybean · 15/06/2024 16:52

i want tickets for any of the london dates ...not a clue how you get a code ?
is it only if you have been on a waitlist ?
we had presale code and got Edinburgh tickets and went last saturday
I might look at vivid tickets and never heard of Twickets ??is it good

Nothing on twickets ATM. Face value or less on there

Twickets is great in that you can only sell tickets for face value, but you can imagine what this means in terms of how often tickets come up and how quickly they disappear again. 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Please don't purchase via Viagogo. They are mostly non-existent tickets and you either won't receive a ticket or you won't get in as ticket has already been used. Ticketmaster are also monitoring Viagogo and cancelling any of theirs see being sold on that platform.

Good luck for those looking.

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 15/06/2024 18:18

Is stubhub better than viagogo?

MotherOfBeardedDragons · 15/06/2024 18:19

Got two tickets for £85 each on Ticketmaster at around 9.30 last Friday morning in Edinburgh.
I had a code from being taken off the waitlist from a few weeks before, but it was by pure chance that I checked if there were tickets on the day, I wasn't notified and hadn't heard extra tickets would be going on sale.

Pedallleur · 15/06/2024 18:39

Not really. TM or AXS. Twickets IF they come up but I am of the opinion no one is putting them on there because it's face value. Was looking earlier at Viagogo and noticed how many seats were supposedly on sale and situated in the same area just rows apart. I don't think it's a coincidence.

VitaminQ · 15/06/2024 19:27

Only very slightly, it's a gamble and the prices so high. As @Pedallleur says, most tickets on these resale sites look very similar! Unless you have zero other costs (travel/hotel etc) and youngsters who won't be disappointed, avoid all these type of reseller platforms.

If you're holding such a ticket, my advice would be to get there as early (I mean really early) as you can so that you get in before someone else who may have the same ticket.

I hate that these resellers allow others to defraud so many people and also serve to push the prices so high.

mummabubs · 15/06/2024 20:22

Don't get me wrong, as I say this is the first time I've ever purchased tickets not from original vendor. Only reassurance I have is trust pilot reviews from people who have purchased via Vivid Seats for the UK Taylor Swift shows and had no issues getting in. I have to assume those are real reviews I guess.

I hate that people can purposefully buy tickets just to immediately ramp up prices and take face value tickets away from genuine fans. Shame it's not illegal.

NotARealWookiie · 15/06/2024 20:26

If you have a code and are willing to sit apart, you can get single tickets easier on Ticketmaster at face value. Axs just ban you for “being a bot” if you keep refreshing…

Itsacrazyworldisntit · 16/06/2024 17:52

I’ve looked on Twickets a few times and the tickets are always held by another buyer. My son (in IT) says the bots are over there too.

Irememberitalltoowell14 · 18/06/2024 19:33

Following just to see if your tickets got you in ok? Hope they did and that you are in there right now having the best time of your life!

Schoolhelp23 · 19/06/2024 20:49

With the code, do you only get a new email for the dates you got the original code for? I got a code for Aug but now cant make those dates, and am desperate for tickets this weekend!

MooFroo · 19/06/2024 20:53

If you’re a super fan go to the venue anyway! We had tickets at liverpool and soooo many locals came and sat on the grounds - picnic blankets, chairs and food as you can hear it all ans be part of the show that way
