Is this inappropriate to wear in an office?

I bought this top and I love it. I’m going to wear it in with a blazer anyway. But I’m assuming if it gets too hot is it inappropriate?

What’s the fabric. It looks as though it’s quite heavy fabric, which is at odds with the style.

Im afraid it reminds me of an apron.

I don't like it but it's in line with normal summer workwear in any office I've worked in - sleeveless but not too booby. I'm not sure what the issue is with shoulders being on display unless you work in a church in rural Italy.

I think it looks ok. It's not revealing which could cause embarrassment to other colleagues and it looks smart.

We can't have shoulders out so it depends on your dress code (I do get annoyed in summer when it's hot and I can't wear sandals as no toes allowed out either!)

It looks totally fine from the front, and I can't see why anyone would be focussing on your back.
In summer this would be fine in most offices I'd imagine. I've never worked anywhere with a dress code other than if we meet clients (very rarely) we wear a jacket/shirt/nice dress and the men wear a suit. As long as it wasn't worn with a really skimpy short skirt, I think it looks professional.

Do you have tattoos on your back OP?

I'm not seeing any problem with it. I worked in a quite smart big commercial real estate office and no one would have looked askance at something like that there.

Of course. What i mean is tattoos are commonly accepted everywhere. It would be abnormal nowadays to not accept tattoos.

If you're not exposing your back by wearing a jacket over it or wearing something underneath then yes in the office. Otherwise no. But bare backs are fine out of the office and in the right situation. Are you Meghan Markle?
