Vermeer · 12/06/2024 10:36

Tenerife, Lanzarote, Alton Towers, Disneyland Paris, Nando’s.

Actually, the only parts of Spain I’ve been to are Madrid and Barcelona. It’s a bit restrictive as a vegetarian.

Oh, and the Lake District!

USA

Probably lots more including those in above posts

ColonelRhubarbBikini · 12/06/2024 10:59

I’ve never been to Spain or any of the islands. Only because of happenstance, I’ve nothing against them.

SuperSharpShooter · 12/06/2024 11:04

For those who've never been to Nados... When you do go the host goes through a well rehearsed script including asking if you've been before...
We hadn't, the host and the manager had never encountered this before and we all got a free pudding 😂👍

I've never been to Alton Towers or been go-carting.

I've also lived incredibly close to two different famous and well trodden hills/mountains and not walked up either of them 😂

Bjorkdidit · 12/06/2024 11:26

You did better than we did @SuperSharpShooter The first time we went, they didn't mention that it was counter service and left us sitting at the table for 10 minutes wondering why no-one had come to take our order.

I've been to a lot of places once, only to decide I don't like them and won't need to go again, eg Subway.

Never been outside Europe apart from a liveaboard to Egypt, which probably doesn't count as I didn't see anything of the country the blatant con tricks and sexism in the airport on the way back was enough to put me off.

Never stayed in Center Parcs either.

StripedTomatoes · 12/06/2024 11:32

OP, do you live very rurally? Just wondering how you've managed to avoid both Costa and Starbucks. I don't even like coffee and I've been to both loads.

TheYearOfSmallThings · 12/06/2024 11:33

Croydon

TheYearOfSmallThings · 12/06/2024 11:34

She might be very urban and have lots of other options? I’ve definitely been in both when living elsewhere, but now I live in a city centre with a lot of very good independent coffee roasters, and opting for bad coffee in a chain just wouldn’t occur to me. I reckon it’s possibly 20 years since I was in a Starbucks, and Costa probably only in an emergency in an airport.

menopausalmare · 12/06/2024 11:40

Nando's.

danesch · 12/06/2024 11:59

Nandos (like lots of others it seems!)

Ireland. This despite being from an Irish Catholic background. It's the only country in Western Europe I've never been to.

Aldi. (Love Lidl though!)

I don't live rurally and I have never been to one!

Fifthtimelucky · 12/06/2024 12:27

Adding Alton Towers and Centre Parcs but they are family oriented so not for me.

I’d like to visit Ibiza, the nice part, not the party town part. Not fussed about Dubai.
