Isn’t the thread “places you haven’t been where everyone else has”? So, I get putting something like Tesco as an answer. But Thailand and America?! I think it’s reasonable not to have gone to some of these far flung places!

Basically, anyone with a glass coffee table seems to have been to Dubai. And if they've got a glass dining table they probably go every year.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good to know.

Many things on your list - hot tub, gym, cruise, nail bar. Also spa or had a massage - body or head

Windsor Castle (want to)
Hampshire
Hull

Spain
Italy

I went to Windsor Castle years ago, and saw Queen Victoria's doll's house. You'll love it.

Hampshire - been loads, including to Hayling Island the Isle of Wight. Portsmouth Dockyards are worth a visit to see the Mary Rose.

Not been to mainland Spain (I do want to go to Barcelona one day) but have been to Majorca & Ibiza.

Hull & Italy - not been to either.

Center parcs.

I almost can’t go now, having avoided it for 30+ years.

I was desperate to go as a kid but my parents weren’t having it. Dismissed on the same grounds as sky tv.

Now as an adult it has been floated by friends, but I’m not huge on paying a fortune to be a captive audience for… more activities I have to pay for.

Which was probably my parent’s logic.

Zoflorabore · 13/06/2024 02:28

Lots of people mentioned Hull, it’s where I went to university and it’s a fab city! Maybe a bit different to actually live there full time but I had a ball.

for those mentioning the Maldives though- it’s crazy expensive to go there and I only know of 2 couples who have been.
wouldn’t say it’s mainstream at all. Suppose it depends on your demographic.

coxesorangepippin · 13/06/2024 02:36

I have however been to the Eurasian Pole of Inaccessibility and Hawaii.

I've not been to the Eurasian Pole of Inaccessibility, yet I've been to Kazakhstan 8 times and even near the Chinese border.

Also...the gym

🤣🤣🤣🤣

garlictwist · 13/06/2024 05:16

I've been to most places in England, Scotland and wales apart from the south of England.

Done London a few times but never been anywhere else. It seems quite over populated and with not particularly interesting or hilly scenery so I haven't bothered.

I think Dartmoor might be ok but a long way to go for scenery that's like the moor I live on at home.

Mum2aTeen · 13/06/2024 05:55

Bit different here as I'm in Australia but will do the basics.

I've never been overseas not sure if I want to I do want to see the uk so maybe one day if the price of plane tickets and passports ever go down 😄.

Never been to starbucks but they aren't here anyway I think they have one in Sydney and one in Melbourne and that's about it so I know I'm not missing out.
Never been to nandos either but they are few and far in-between.

But inside Australia I want to see Uluru/Kings canyon theDaintree rainforest Cape York (the furtherest north part of Australia) and want to see Perth and Darwin I'm on the east coast so seen a lot around here but so much more to see.

Also never been to any disney it looks amazing but so big so not sure about that one.

Bluewater Shopping Centre. Going there seems to be a desirable day out in my part of the world!

Glastonbury Festival.

Pret-a-Manger.

Nail salon.

Don’t bother with Bluewater…have been there once ,awful place and then I couldn’t find my car for 2 hours which prevented a quick exit!! 🤦‍♀️

the80sweregreat · 13/06/2024 14:01

Lilleloola
I used to lose my car in big car parks like shopping malls , now I take a quick photo of the exit signs or some other clue as to which level it's on or colour or however the parking is organized there. I find it helps a bit when it's time to leave.
I've never been to Amsterdam. People seem to like it there.

darksigns · 13/06/2024 14:10

The bottom right corner of England, basically everything that is east or south of London
Spain
Glastonbury (festival)
