We've bought tickets for R2 party in the park. It's in Moor Park. I've booked a Premier Inn near B&Q Preston in Bamber Bridge. We'll have a car but would rather not take it to Moor Park and it looks like an hour on the bus with walking either end...

Are we missing a trick with somewhere else to stay where we could easily get a train to Preston and walk to the Park. Like Lytham maybe?

@Chocolatellabgirl If you've booked parking on Sainsburys Deepdale I would say 10 minutes walk at the outside. You can see the park from the store!
Depending on where you are staying in Blackburn it is a straightforward drive in. The stretch,on Blackpool Rd will be busy because it goes up to the M6 junction but apart from that it should be fairly quiet.

Thank you. Yes, it is the big Sainsbury’s as you say so that’s good. Not sure how it works if everyone parks there though with Just Park as it says if no places you ring them up LOL. Yes, hotel near M65 then M6 and B6242 so that’s reassuring that it may be mainly a decent journey. About 22mins at the moment apparently. Who knew just booking tickets for one day would result in so much other planning! And we are only in June!

Knowing what a ball ache traffic is around Preston please allow plenty of time to get to your parking spots!

The Sainsburys has a decent sized car park. There is a surgery opposite with some parking as well which will help a bit. When PNE are playing a couple of local schools open up their car parks and charge so they may well do that for this event as well.

I so should have rented out my parking space for the day
