I'm so sorry to post this, I'm not a poo troll.

I've just been laughing at this for 10 minutes.

I just can’t wrap my head around someone thinking it’s a good idea to take a toddler on a shopping trip on day 2 of potty training. WTAF.

Mulloffuckintyre · 30/05/2024 22:43

Can’t believe the kid had already weed in M&S, then pooed in Superdrug and yet she still thought, I’ll just carry on and go to primark now regardless. And seemingly cleaning up shit/wiping arses right there in front of people.
Three misses in one morning suggests the child is definitely not ready to be potty trained. Neither of my dc had any potty training accidents in public because I waited till they were pretty reliable before taking them out shopping etc. And at any age, including babies, should be taken to the toilet for any toileting activities outside the home. I was out shopping once and a woman just told her toddler to lie down on the dirty floor in the aisle and changed the nappy right there! I was absolutely gobsmacked.

Jifmicroliquid · 30/05/2024 22:44

Entitled idiotic mother. Take the child to the toilet and clean him there.
Vile woman.

Supersimkin2 · 30/05/2024 22:47

Ugly inside and out! Smelly too.

Dancingfairydreams · 30/05/2024 22:55

Primark is better then the Toby carvery!! Was mortified when out for lunch with a friend & she whipped out a potty for her kid to use rather then taking to the loo. She then proceeded to walk it through the restaurant to the loo, poo n all! I could have died

Miriad · 30/05/2024 23:02

I’ve seen a woman whip out a potty in a cafe where people were eating, put it down by the table then loudly encourage her small child to do a poo. Some people are disgusting and selfish. Of course you take a child who’s soiled themselves to the toilet to get cleaned up!

This sort of thing pisses me right off. When I potty trained my DC, we didn't really go anywhere for the first week. Yes it's inconvenient but, that's on me and my child. And then, as PP have said, you should go to a toilet to clean up in the event of an accident. It's not OK to wipe your toddler's shitty backside in the middle of a shop floor.

Totally this!!

I work in a public setting and you’d be amazed at what people do with poo… and I’m not talking kids accidents😡

Naran · 30/05/2024 23:08

Hmm I thought that when you were potty training, you stayed home for this kind of reason.

LakeTiticaca · 30/05/2024 23:11

Nah, nobody wants to smell your kids shit.
Take him home!!

I once saw a mum whip out a potty and stick her child on it in one of the aisles in an M&S food hall. A member of staff reprimanded her and she was less than pleased.

That's horrific who thinks that's ok !

Toddlerteaplease · 30/05/2024 19:23

She spends £100-200 on very visit? What on?!! Missing point of thread. She should have taken him to the toilets.

It's not actually that cheap now! Half the dresses are in the £20-£30 range - three of them and a bag could easily be £100. Lots of people do giant "hauls" and then return most of it too, particularly if you've got a young child so cba trying stuff on.

I was behind someone who spent over £1000 in primark before, and that was back in the days when you could barely buy anything over a tenner. It took bloody ages for them to go through the till!

One day an employer/classmate/romantic partner is going to google him and find this story. She should have thought more carefully before selling this story.

😅😅😅 I really hope he has a different surname to her!!

Thank God @OldSow and @sebanna his name wasn’t Peter. There’d be loads of ‘Peter Pooped in Primark’ headings and so on. Trying to think of any for Barnaby but can’t really. I’m traumatised at the thought Barnaby might have got poo on anything in the shop he’d touched. Yuck.

With the surname Still, I can think of a few catchy poo related nicknames. That poor kid is going to be bullied for this in 10 years or so.

What was that woman thinking going crying to the papers with their name and photo?!

AlohaRose · 30/05/2024 23:22

Madness. Two and a half (the half is very important!) days into potty training and Mum decides to go for coffee, to M&S, Superdrug and then - because one wee in the potty and one poo accident isn't enough thinks - I know what, I'll carry on to Primark for however lnog it takes to spend her usual £100-200!

scrapsontheside · 30/05/2024 23:33

When I worked in a pub, (real ale not wacky warehouse type) a lady let her toddler wee on the sofa, (next to a potty that she had put on the seat of the sofa) and actually clapped her "clever girl" I went to tell her to clean it up, that I was not dealing with it, and it was time to go.
The mother did nothing!!! Just blanked me. I had a pub full of customers trying to enjoy a drink /friends/food.
The mother refused to clean up or leave. I refused her service,so she rang the bar phone demanding to speak to the landlord!

Ohnobackagain · 31/05/2024 09:30

@scrapsontheside hope the landlord backed you up

scrapsontheside · 31/05/2024 10:05

@Ohnobackagain I answered the phone , she could see me! I just calmly explained that I wasn't there to deal with her feral behaviour :) I did text the landlord,he came down with a cleaning bill for the sofa to be professionally cleaned (my idea, not real!) costing £150! Gave it to her and said "you have three days to pay, leave now" she took forever to leave , never came back and told anyone who would listen how awful, child hating and unfriendly the pub was!

Hold on a minute.......

I'm not a mum, so one of you will need to help me.

Does this woman carry a porta-potty around with.her? Everytime her child needs a wee/poo, she whips out the potty in the middle of the shop/Street/wherever, and let's her child pee/poo in full view of everyone?

Surely, I am wrong? Please tell.me I am wrong......

I know she is complaining about an accident, but I'm.getting the impression this is what she is doing.

Have I got that right?

Well, it looks like you are right. As a mum I have owned a portable potty. Never used one in an indoor space though. Was for the park/beach etc where the toilets were far away and we were not in a ‘busy’ area.

LakeTiticaca · 31/05/2024 10:20

I feel.desperately sorry for the complaining parents who put their kids on social media with their compo faces. They get ripped to shreds in the comments and god help them going to school, when all the kids know little Sonny has missed his school lunch because he was having a pooh on the toilet
Dear God !!

WhatNoRaisins · 31/05/2024 10:20

Our portable potty was always just for bush wees or it doubled as one of those seats you put over a toilet so they don't fall in.

IndecentPropolis · 31/05/2024 10:32

Link isn’t working 😕

AlohaRose · 31/05/2024 12:22

Interesting, the link definitely worked previously. Wonder if Mum came to her senses or other family managed to talk some sense into her.
