I love an afternoon tea, but don't often go. I always struggle to eat more than half before feeling like I'm going to burst, so I feel like it's a waste of money for me personally.

Was this in London? I often treat friends to an afternoon tea for their birthday.

Ask them to box the rest of it up and have it the following day. That's what we do when we go for afternoon tea

All the places I have been to give you a box to take home any leftovers.

I had a birthday booking for afternoon tea before at Chelsea Hotel place,
It was lovely
My daughter booked as a treat

I was curious what quite posh hotel looked like inside and obviously couldn't afford it

So afternoon tea was next best thing..
