Still awake again.
I have to go away for work in the morning but cannot sleep. Currently watching swat on netflix.

Just me awake then

I’m still awake as I don’t feel able to leave my kitten. He fell in the mop bucket as I was about to head up to bed a few hours ago. He’s absolutely fine, and dry, now but I can’t settle.

(Yes, I’ve consulted with a vet)

I’m the same though Op, I can never sell the night before travelling.

Terrible gallbladder attack. Been going on for four hours. Just took some codeine and distracting myself while I wait for it to kick in.

Stressedgiraffe · 27/05/2024 02:51

Ooh we have a new kitten too.
I've just fed him.
He is supposed to be 8 weeks but I recon only 5/6 weeks. So small

@MotherOfFiveCats poor little thing! They can be so clumsy at that age.

I fell asleep quite early then woke up about an hour ago. Just got out of hospital and woke up confused thinking a nurse had come round to check on me (they did it at such weird times like 3am).

Now got some mint tea and may watch something.

SheepAndSword · 27/05/2024 02:53

@Stressedgiraffe beauty!

I hope your painkillers kick in soon!

@IDontKnowMargot hope your painkillers work. Gallbladder pain is excruciating

I'm ill, going between shivering and sweating. Woke up boiling hot and went to get some paracetamol. Now wide awake waiting for it to kick in.

MotherOfFiveCats · 27/05/2024 02:56

@Stressedgiraffe

What a cutie! Yes I’d agree yours is quite young, good thing he’s got you to look after him!

paying the cat tax - mine is 9 weeks :)

*edited as I spotted you’d said he was a boy!

@MotherOfFiveCats gorgeous! Just shows how tiny ours is.

Thank you! I've been absolutely fine for six months other than the odd niggle but I'm convinced stress exacerbates it as I've had a very stressful week. Usually an attack will end in vomiting after an hour or so which relieves it, but not tonight. I start a new job a week Monday (today?) so need to have an ultra ultra low fat week. I can't be doing this next Sunday!!

TakeTheMomentAndTasteIt · 27/05/2024 02:59

Honestly I'm not sure. Suspect I might be hungry. Will have some Percy pigs and see if it helps

motherstongue · 27/05/2024 03:00

Indigestion here. Heartburn is terrible so lying down is horrid. Unhappily this is not unusual for me to be unable to sleep 😔.
Also went to see my MIL today who’s very poorly, got quite a shock and she’s praying on my mind.

MabelsBeats · 27/05/2024 03:01

@IDontKnowMargot sorry you’re in pain, are you going to have it removed? I had mine out earlier this year, and would highly recommend.

I just woke up and I think it’s because I’m stressed out. So now I’m just thinking about what’s stressing me out.

garlictwist · 27/05/2024 03:02

Pain and anxiety. I'm also starving as I couldn't be bothered to have dinner. Wondering whether to just get up.

SheepAndSword · 27/05/2024 03:02

@IDontKnowMargot do you find codeine works well? I've never tried it, got sent home with a bottle of morphine.

Fingers crossed you are out of pain soon 🤞

Love all the kittens! 🐾

MagentaRocks · 27/05/2024 03:04

Insomnia. Pretty normal for me to be awake at this time. I try reading, then stop and try to sleep, get pissed off when I can't, read again and repeat!

Yeah, he looks a little younger. I got mine at 5-6 weeks too

IDontKnowMargot · 27/05/2024 03:06

I've never tried codeine! But the Drs prescribed it last year after a bad bout so I'll let you know. It seems to be easing slightly. I'm on the waiting list for removal (six months in) but the new job I start next week has private healthcare so I'm hoping to manage it for another 3-6 months then hopefully get it whipped out privately!

MrsKwazi · 27/05/2024 03:12

My strapping 14 year old woke me up an hour ago with a raging fever. He is taller than me and I never get hugs and cuddles anymore so lovely to have a snuggle even though he is like a piece of hot coal in bed next to me.

Lucyloo223 · 27/05/2024 03:15

Went to sleep after work yesterday, woke up at 1 and have been wide awake since. Up for work in 3 hours.

DominoRules · 27/05/2024 03:15

Insomnia here, I’m awake at this time more often than I’m not these days…..

Gorgeous little kittens, I have my old cat purring away with me in bed

myheadisaterribleplace · 27/05/2024 03:22
