Still awake again.
I have to go away for work in the morning but cannot sleep. Currently watching swat on netflix.

Just been woken up by someone trying to break into the flat downstairs. Scary as fuck! Rang the police but there's no sign of them.

Oh and I have horrible period pain so wasn't sleeping well before then.

trampoline123 · 27/05/2024 03:24

My son woke up at 2 having a nightmare and now I can't get back to sleep. Always happens, if I'm up in the night can never get back off.

YerGlaikit · 27/05/2024 03:25

Fever in the toddler here too. God he's roasting. Meds an hour ago and waiting for him to settle.

YfenniChristie · 27/05/2024 03:26

I'm awake with my 2yr old. Currently sat on the floor of my in-laws boxroom trying to get him to fall asleep deeply enough so I can go back to bed. Been awake an hour so far.

Username620 · 27/05/2024 03:31

I fell asleep at 22:00 and woke up at 01:30 and haven’t been able to get back to sleep because of pain in my ear. An hour ahead of UK here. Birds are starting to chirp and it’s starting to get lighter. Wondering if I should go early into the office and then get out earlier today.

Chrysanthemum5 · 27/05/2024 03:39

Im awake as my DD is autistic and when she is anxious she texts me from her room so im sitting in the living room responding to her to try to calm her.

I think she's ok now so im off to bed but probably won't get back to sleep for a while

Oh yes, that sounds like a good plan! Are you somewhere that the weather is supposed to be nice this afternoon too?

Breastfeeding a newborn here. Unfortunately on this wake up, DD1 and DS2 have also woken up at the same time! The only one left snoring is the DH!

onwardandupwards · 27/05/2024 03:40

Up with my 5 year old who is wide awake watching Matilda the musical again, she's ready to go for the day ( she has asd and suspected ADHD) my 4 year old ( also asd) only went down at just after midnight so not really wanting to get up just yet! X

Stressedgiraffe · 27/05/2024 03:57

Still Awake . Kitten asleep. Going to try again after a cup of tea.

I’m awake, just fed my baby and he won’t go back to sleep so I’m awake holding him trying not to drop off! DH snoring away next to me 🙄

flapjackfun · 27/05/2024 04:04

I was supposed to finish work at 1am but I ended up getting in at 03.30. I’ve just had something to eat and a cheeky rum. I was about to sleep but there’s a police helicopter flying overhead that is annoying me!

Ralphiesaurus · 27/05/2024 04:05

DD15 has a sleepover and they have been wittering on ALL NIGHT… got a bit of fitful sleep then up again. Finally slept… and now (D)H is snoring SO LOUDLY I can hear him through my earplugs. Might decamp to the sofa but my dog is downstairs and will be very happy to see me and so sleep down there is unlikely.

aaaaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh

I'm setting off to the airport at 5.30 and I've woken earlier than I wanted to. Flying to Mallorca this morning.

Unfortunately to be warm but get cloudier during the day. Think I’ll jump in the car with the dog and go for a sunrise walk.

SheepAndSword · 27/05/2024 04:10

@myheadisaterribleplace nightmares can make you feel really discordant, a hot drink might help you settle.

@Stressedgiraffe are you staying away overnight after work? Sounds like you'll have to muddle through tomorrow (today) and crash out as soon as you're able to!

Peanutbutterfan · 27/05/2024 04:12

I’m in a pattern at the mo where I fall asleep around 11pm then wake around 3pm & can’t sleep for a while. Even when I do go back to sleep I keep waking up. Could be peri related not sure. I just got up & made a chamomile tea & ate some Haribo sweets as my appetite is poor at the mo & I didn’t eat much in the day (long story). Hope everyone gets some sleep eventually!

Mammyloveswine · 27/05/2024 04:14

Getting ready to catch our flight to Sorrento! Fly at 7-15am! I don't usually sleep well but this was a shock when the 4am alarm went off!

twoandcooplease · 27/05/2024 04:18

I'm having a cup of tea too! Regular for me to have a tea during the night
I woke at 3 with stomach cramps (currently day 8 of MC so easing a lot)
Went to make a cuppa while painkillers kicked in and there was no milk. I've waited an hour for the milk delivery and now having a lovely cuppa before going back to bed

Waving to you from Mallorca! I can’t sleep either - anxiety, worry about my family and thinking about my marriage to my husband.

abbey44 · 27/05/2024 04:46

I've been awake since 2 with a sore back and can't get back to sleep. I slipped over on some gravel on Friday and landed flat on my back and instead of getting better it's getting worse. I'm wondering if I should get it looked at as paracetamol and ibuprofen aren't helping...

SheepAndSword · 27/05/2024 04:52

@abbey44 it seems like a good idea to get it checked

abbey44 · 27/05/2024 05:07

I think it's the fact it's worse now than it was when I did it that's bothering me. It's sod's law that these things happen on a bank holiday weekend though, isn't it?

OverfilledBookcase · 27/05/2024 05:12

I am still up at I’ve got into a terrible habit of going to bed at 1-2am and not sleeping until close to 3am over the last 6 months or so.

Then I feel like crap all day when I have to get up at 7am during the week and often sleep until lunchtime at weekends which I hate so as I have no need to drive or go further than the garden today, I decided to stay up all night, struggle through the day and be desperate to go to bed by 9pm tonight to try to reset myself!

Not so sure that was a such a good plan now though!

It was lovely to see the dawn and see it was light outside at 4.30am though.

Tis true!

Stressedgiraffe · 27/05/2024 05:42

@SheepAndSword I'm travelling for work I've a 6hr train journey up north. Might be able to doze on the train. Then 2 nights in a hotel. So il probably crash early as I have work on Tuesday.
