Help me choose a new iphone please!

My iPhone 7 is so old now,I am having to charge it several times a day.

I want to get a newer one (doesn’t need to be brand new).

I want to stick with an iPhone and I like the size of the 7 as it’s easy to hold (I know some of the newer ones are bigger).

Can anyone recommend a newer iPhone that they use that like and might be suitable and not too expensive?

(If you like your 7, could you just get a new battery for it?)

I think I need to update as my IOS is so old now and I don’t have space to update it!

I have an iPhone 13 mini and love the size of it. It's perfect.
My husbands 12 is quite nice too

I have an iPhone SE 2022 and love it as it's small

I had a 12 mini and it was great, just the right size to put in my pocket. Have recently upgraded to a 15 Plus and to be honest it’s far too big. But at least I can read the screen when I forget my glasses.

I second the SE if you like the size of the 7.

My son has the SE 2022, think that’s the same size as a 7 (or very similar).

The SE is very similar in size to the 7.

You can’t update your phone as it’s so old.

iPhone 12 user here and I highly recommend it. Are you bothered about big bezels at the top and bottom? If not then consider the SE - a bargain £379 for the 64 GB.

Another vote for the SE. I changed my old 6S recently for an SE, making sure I got one with more memory. Look at refurbished 2nd hand options too.

I have an iPhone 13 mini. It's a bit smaller than I thought so I will be upgrading to a 15 soon. But if you want something pocket sized, it's perfect.

I've got an iPhone 13 mini and I love it, I'm not a fan of the bigger ones as my hands are too small to reach some of the screen and I like to hold it one handed

I have them all and have a 14 plus. Love the screen size for Netflix

But the best was the 12 and they are reportedly the best iPhone along with the 11.

I have also have an iPhone Mini 13 - very comfortable for people with small hands and fits easily into most small bags. If you're not too worried about buying a new one, Apple have refurbished Mini 13s on their site for about £400 .

12 mini here and really like it. Battery not as long lasting as the bigger model, and some pages a bit of a faff to navigate as they’re designed for bigger displays, but I just love the smallness of it.

Just get a new SE

I have an 11 & love it. Perfect size & still working like it did the day I got it when they were newly out.

14 plus. I love the larger size.

another one with a 13 mini, i prefer the size of it and not keen on upgrading due to the sizes of the newer ones

I’ve had iPhones since launch, at least 10 of them and have a 14 pro max at the moment which is the worst iPhone I’ve ever had. The camera is awful and it weighs a ton. Wouldn’t recommend.

I’ve gone from an 11 to a 15. It’s just about manageable in one hand. The only things I would say are that they’re bloody expensive now but you need to get the most memory you can afford or you’ll have to update it again.

@TwinklyTraybake Does your DS like his SE 2022? How old is he if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve just ordered my DS (11) an iPhone SE and I’m hoping he will be happy with it. It’s a smaller model compared to the others as you say (same size as a 7) and I hope it will be ok for him.

I upgraded a couple of years ago from a 5SE to a 13 mini and love it.

I don’t use it much at home as have a iPad for surfing, watching videos etc, but it is the perfect portable size for me.

If you’re ready for an upgrade, it will be worth while you picker a newer model. Apple rinses its customers and I believe iPhone 8s and older are obsolete and many apps don’t work or won’t be supported on them.
