Me - Labour.

Unless we have a decent indie, or a Party of Women candidate, nobody.

BarHumbugs · 22/05/2024 19:53

Lib Dem

LieutOliviaBenson · 22/05/2024 19:54

Labour.

DontBiteTheCat · 22/05/2024 19:54

Labour.

Tuwhituwhoo · 22/05/2024 19:55

Labour - I’m literally wincing as I write that

RubyWinehouse · 22/05/2024 19:55

Reform

Fairyliz · 22/05/2024 19:55

No idea, they are all a shower of shit.
If the monster raving looney party had a candidate I would probably vote for them; they couldn’t be any worse than my current options.

I’m reasonably old, with clear memories of the last Labour government. So I will vote Conservative, albeit extremely reluctantly.

This is me .

I think people are thinking Labour is the holy grail . They are going to be disappointed. Anyone who is working needs to be prepared for tax rises to pay for their manifesto pledges and that on top of a cost of living crisis is going to tip a lot more people over the edge .

I think the issues in this country are now insurmountable whoever comes to power

stonedaisy · 22/05/2024 19:56

Not Cons because of corruption
Not Reform because they're nuts
Not Libs because of the postoffice person
Not Green because its pointless

But I strongly disagree with Labour messing with VAT in education / independent schools..

I think i'll have to spoil my ballot or something :(

Emotionalsupporthamster · 22/05/2024 19:56

I’m torn between Labour or a tactical vote for the SNP as my constituency swings between Tories and SNP.

greengreyblue · 22/05/2024 19:57

Labour

Isleoftights · 22/05/2024 19:57

I will attend the hustings, and vote for any candidate - irrespective of party - who has something about them, who is capable of debate and independent thought. Most are so mediocre - I went once to the Colne Valley constituency hustings, and sat behind the Labour candidate, who was reading her answers off cue cards. Sorry love, if you can't look the questioner in the eye, and answer questions on housing, climate change, etc. without reading out your answers like a child, doing a class presentation, you are not mp material.

In Scotland. Voting SNP. Would never vote Tory, and Scottish Labour are just a branch office for the Westminster party..

This.

Meadowtrees · 22/05/2024 19:59

Conservative. The spiteful tax on working parents who have just managed to afford school fees and will have to disrupt their kids education is just nasty. Why try to harm anyone’s education? No other country taxes education (it’s banned in the EU!) and there’s nothing to stop them also adding it to uni fees, preschool / nursery fees / music lessons etc.

And their lack of protection of women’s rights obviously.

SallyWD · 22/05/2024 20:01

Labour, no doubt about it.

FairisleFairy · 22/05/2024 20:01

takeonabrew · 22/05/2024 19:22

Because there's no other choice but Labour if you want Conservatives out

That’s just the problem though isn’t it.
Most people voting based on how they think everyone else is voting.

(Actually the main problem IMO is people who vote without really giving it much thought or serious consideration, but that’s probably another discussion)

Noideawhattoexpect · 22/05/2024 20:02

Lib dem

Hagitude · 22/05/2024 20:02

Conservative if my current MP stands, he is a good man, a very good constituency MP and I would like to see him return.

No idea if he doesn’t stand again.

greengreyblue · 22/05/2024 20:02

Labour because I will vote for the many not the few and because I work in a state school and because I care about health and social care. I am happy to pay higher taxes to live in a better society. Also I have not forgiven the lies around party gate and lockdown.

wickerpram · 22/05/2024 20:02

Why try to harm anyone’s education?!

So the education of the children that go to state school doesn’t matter? Because the Tory’s have certainly harmed that! As long as you’re alright though…

loppu · 22/05/2024 20:03

I can't vote but if I could I would vote conservatives. I agree with their policies. Dh can vote and he is voting labour because of his work situation.

islingtonnorth · 22/05/2024 20:10

We're likely to have a choice between Labour and Corbyn as an independent. I think there is a good chance Corbyn will win if he stands, and considering whether to vote for him. Whilst he was useless Labour leader, he's a good constituency MP

BearSoFair · 22/05/2024 20:14

Labour, without doubt.

Chillilounger · 22/05/2024 20:16

I will probably spoil my vote. Unless labour can convince me they can start protecting females.
