Posh instant coffee?

Does this exist? DH loves coffee and already has all manner of machines, percolators etc but we have a newborn and he doesn’t have time to use them right now. He’s been drinking instant coffee but thought about getting an upgrade to some posh instant coffee for Father’s Day. Does such a thing exist and any recommendations please?

Another Milicano vote here, and they do an intense version, although I have the standard. I personally don't rate Nescafe Azera.

Another vote for Ember mug as I do agree he probably has got time to make a coffee if he's got any kind of coffee machine but it's more you can't drink it in time to still be good!

I say this as someone who discovered after far too long their toddler was probably having quite a bit of coffee by walking round the house drinking sips of my many cold, unfinished coffees while I dealt with newborn twins.

Failing that, Percol is the best of a bad bunch but it really isn't a patch on good fresh coffee and he sounds like one of these proper coffee nerds so it really won't impress.

Forth coffee do coffee bags, like teabags essentially. We get them to take away on holidays.

I haven’t found anything better than Nescafe Espresso for an instant coffee, it’s way better than Azera imho.

I think instant coffee is really a different drink to proper ground coffee. There are none that have the same flavour (I've looked!)

But I think if you have time to boil the kettle and make an instant coffee, it's really not that much harder to make a french press coffee?

Or you could buy a filter coffee machine, it's literally just water, coffee, and press a button and wait. It's no harder than instant and so much nicer. I got mine for a tenner off facebook marketplace!

Wow I didn’t know this would be so controversial! We’ve got a nespresso machine, currently a bit tricky to set up due to the lack of kitchen - I have a small table
for all food prep, toaster, kettle, air fryer etc - so it’s currently in storage. We also have a filter coffee machine, similar situation. As someone up thread said it’s not just the time it takes for you to make some of the better coffees, but also the mess and time cleaning up plus the faff. It’s DH that has decided to start drinking the instant but I know he doesn’t really like it which is why I thought I could maybe get some better quality stuff as a treat. It doesn’t seem like this is a ‘thing’ though…
