Feeling despondent over weight loss - can you see a difference between these two pics?

Hopefully I've disguised myself enough!

I've lost two stone over the past few months but at a small plateau right now so thought I'd do a comparison pic.

I know the angle isn't quite right but does lower face look even slightly less round? Hard to stay motivated when you're at a standstill!!

The first is especially horrific! It's one taken for my gym pass and yeah, they've really done me dirty there!

BlackStrayCat · 21/05/2024 15:07

Huge difference! Well done and keep going.

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:08

@lovelysoap ooh so you can see it then?! Harder when you're ancient too!

Clarice99 · 21/05/2024 15:09

The photos are poles apart, looks like two different people!!!!

Congratulations on your weight loss 😁

Waitingfordoggo · 21/05/2024 15:10

Yes, I can see a significant difference. Well done on your weight loss.

User364837 · 21/05/2024 15:10

Have you had lip filler too? Your lips look so different!

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:10

The horror of seeing the first pic on my electronic gym card!

@CoffeeAndPeanuts ha! Ive slogged my guts out for nearly 10 weeks to reduce down from 13 stone odd to 11 stone odd and although I feel better, im still size 14 and I do struggle to see it I swear

But ill accept that I appear to be slightly fishing you're right Grin

Not the dreaded 'up your chin' shot! Seriously, OP, it is showing and I agree with whoever said you have great skin and are looking good, so do keep going. I'm on the same path and I keep studying my chin, it's hard when you lose weight when you are not very young as it doesn't go away from where you want, necessarily!

Fontainebleau007 · 21/05/2024 15:11

Yes there's a big difference! Well done keep up the good work!! 😃

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:12

@User364837 believe it or not I have plenty of filler all over my face including lips but not had them done for nearly a year now -

So no work since last June

Quite how the person taking my gym pass photo managed to capture me looking so dreadful I'll
Never know

OP posts:
TorturedPoets · 21/05/2024 15:12

Yes you look completely different!

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:14

@WayOutOfLine yeah the stupid chin shot. Dreadful.

And you're totally right - I'm in my 50s now which is just GREAT Hmm and definitely doesn't assist with weight dropping off

More like trawling 😂😂

I don't blame you one bit though, you've done incredibly well!!

I think spec savers next if you're really struggling to see it in the photos!! (I agree it's hard to see the difference in the mirror as you get used to the gradual change)

What did you do to lose the weight?? What's your plan now??

changeison · 21/05/2024 15:19

you look lovely and much slimmer in pic 2.
You actually look like a friend. Your first name doesn't start with D does it?

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:22

@CoffeeAndPeanuts trawling 😀

Err I sat on the sofa in March eating a packet of cream cakes with a couple of rennies in my pocket for the inevitable heartburn afterwards. My husband was having to sleep in a spare room because my snoring was bad

And I suddenly thought 'I've had enough of this! Can't wear my usual nice clothes and can't even share a bed with my poor husband'

So I joined the gym - purely to do spin classes as I used to love them - and I have been 3-4 times a week since,
Just spin . For 9 weeks now. On top of this, I swim twice a week and I've just started looking at lifting weights but not properly got into that yet.

I don't count calories but eat around 1400-1600 a day and just eat three sensible meals a day concentrating on protein, fresh food and not many snacks

It's been as difficult as that really (quite difficult!)

OP posts:
ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:23

@changeison phew, it doesn't! I suppose you're friends with me on Facebook you'd maybe recognise the hair and lower face! But I'm not a D, no

OP posts:
Appleblum · 21/05/2024 15:28

Huge difference... doesn't even look like the same person! Keep up the good work 💪

PoppingTomorrow · 21/05/2024 15:30

Don't count your success in purely aesthetic terms although the difference is notable.

Think about how you have improved your health body and brain!

LemonySnickets · 21/05/2024 15:31

Massive difference in the 2 pics!

Goldenbear · 21/05/2024 15:33

Big difference! Great will power!

ArabellaFox · 21/05/2024 15:44

Thank you all. I feel sufficiently boosted and will stop now

OP posts:
theemmadilemma · 21/05/2024 16:01

Notable difference. 🙌

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 21/05/2024 16:07

2 stone in 10 weeks. I'm inspired ! Well done.

And it's really obvious !

P.s. how hateful is a spin class exactly?
