Dd is on holiday so.im looking after both GS. Plus have my kids as well
We all get sorted for school normal morning all fine.

We decided to pop to the shop on the way to school to grab breakfast.. from then on kids are not taking their stuff when I tell them to lights are on nobody home type thing. All 3 of them just staring into space.

Get on the 1st bus baby gs chuck's up all over me . I get of the bus. Then my ds is chucking up because he saw baby gs chuck up. I go to tesco buy a top. Clean myself and gs up. Change into new top. Then I'm waiting for my next bus. Older gs falls over cuts his lip . So he's screaming . Sort him out get on bus. Older gs then drops his lunch on the floor. 5 mins on the bus and baby gs chucks up on me again. We got of the bus and have come home. I had enough.

Your first mistake was going out for breakfast . They get what you have got in. Hope your day got no worse and the bug isn’t catching.

i’ll head off

but i’d wager a lot

the DD doesn’t work
the OP doesn’t work
and the kids have a shit attendance rate

over and out (hiding thread whilst covering head!)

Hoik those judgey pants up a bit further! You know nothing about the OP yet here you are making assumptions about whether a poster and her DD works or not as well as the children’s attendance?

whatsitcalledwhen · 21/05/2024 16:29

@paprikaforever

so what will you do stuck at home all day with 4 of them?

Not everyone would hate this, you know.

And children do play with each other sometimes. I've heard they even enjoy it!

I'm sure OP will cope just fine!

They wouldn’t have they’ve just spotted an opportunity to pile on and make themselves feel superior.

To be fair it was that type of sick . He was only sick because he saw his nephew be sick. But regardless I made the decision to go home. I tried twice to get them to school. Twice baby vomiting over me all wet with vomit and stinking. So I went home . School do know this.

I used to work in a school, and the number of children who used to come in, when quite clearly they should have been at home in bed, was a fair number. But you only have to read some threads on here, where a working mother is literally scared to call in work, if their child is ill. It is a minefield.

Probably be back later with their mates. Shit staring piling on and pretending they don't all know each other.

Whether you send them in tomorrow or not OP, tell this lot on here that you haven’t because you fancied a lie in and you’re taking the kids to McDonald for lunch. They’ll lose their shit altogether. 🤣

Fucking hell, and I bet those kids are still doing far better than yours with a nasty, judgmental parent like you

I don't wish Any bad on this poster . I just hope they are not truly like this in real life and I hope they have the support they need if they should ever have a difficult time in life.

what the hell?

tricky morning but they should be going to school op

A day off won’t hurt them.

Caterina99 · 22/05/2024 12:00

Hope you feel better soon OP! And I hope you don’t all have a sickness bug.

The school insisted my DS be off for 48 hours after he vomited even though we were certain it was because he ate something he’s allergic to and immediately threw it back up. (So definitely not a bug!)

DS loved his 2 days off school. A day off won’t hurt them

Lokshen · 22/05/2024 12:08

AtomicBlondeRose · 21/05/2024 13:53

My DC’s school would apply the 48 hour rule to a vomiting child even if they’d thrown up because of seeing a baby be sick! So would most schools. So that’s one kid at home + baby anyway…I think I’d have turned back too. Covered in puke, stinking, bleeding child and two potentially ill. Yep, stopping for a croissant didn’t cause any of that.

Then they would be applying the rule incorrectly according to NHS guidance. If there are 'other reasons' for vomit (allergy, travel) in a well person then it is does not apply

So i’m guessing kids not at school today

No they are not. I can't even walk across the room without struggling for breath. Bend down to put shoes on etc , I can't even finish a sentence. The school have done it under compassionate.

I also spoke to safe guarding at the school because I was worried. She knows us as a family really well . So I spoke to her and she said not to worry. Just get then back soon as I can and try push their attendance up.

paprikaforever · 22/05/2024 15:47

it is unbelievable that your DD leaves you with her two children plus your baby

and getting to their school involved you getting TWO buses

so selfish it’s shocking

paprikaforever · 22/05/2024 15:48

you’re not even local to their school and don’t have your own transport and she thought this was appropriate
