Any fellow Arsenal fans battling with their conscience tonight?

I never in my life thought I’d be cheering on Spurs but oh my god, I’m so desperate for them to pull off a win tonight! My nerves are in shreds 😅

Yep!! 😅

I think it was the same with Man City fans and Man U.

I know it's on, am watching Masterchef. Am on the phone to my partner who said his friend has literally as I type bought it up and he's a Villa fan.

notimagain · 14/05/2024 20:35

Never thought about it that way, I thought it was only the Spurs fans that were torn both ways about this evening’s match…

Club loyalty should mean they don’t want to lose tonight but OTOH they don’t want to help Arsenal win the Premiership……

Goonergirl14 · 14/05/2024 20:39

Nope no conscience, Spurs all the way! 😃 My hubby is a Rangers supporter so got that on..they are pants though..

Vinorosso74 · 14/05/2024 20:41

He didn't like to say it but DP is keen for Spurs to win.

YouveGotAFastCar · 14/05/2024 20:42

Yeah, never are killing me.

I’m not confident; though.

talawalawoo · 14/05/2024 20:42

COYS!!!!! 🔴⚪️

Q124 · 14/05/2024 20:44

Yes absolutely me!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 14/05/2024 20:45

Might be wishful thinking but city seem a bit more nervy than usual - come on Spurs! ⚽️

talawalawoo · 14/05/2024 20:47

Phew got to half time, no goal from City yet!!

CobsNobs · 14/05/2024 20:49

A draw will be enough for Arsenal.

Desperately cheering on City as we’re Villa fans in this household! #UTV

A draw will be enough for Arsenal.

As long as MC don't score like 6 goals next week.

AhBiscuits · 14/05/2024 20:52

I'll take a 0-0 draw. I've got a city defender and 2 spurs defenders in my fantasy team.

Goonergirl14 · 14/05/2024 20:53

But it will be the same points, Arsenal would need to win by quite a few on Sunday.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 14/05/2024 20:54

I’m more than happy with 0-0!

Goonergirl14 · 14/05/2024 20:56

Would rather Spurs won..nerves will be shattered by Sunday! 😃

We’re already ahead on goal difference. As long as city don’t score 4 more than us on Sunday then we win (if tonight ends 0-0 which let’s face it, is highly unlikely)!

It feels very odd cheering on Sp*rs, but...

I know, it's the hope that kills you.

And I'm not so sure about the draw. West Ham hate us nearly as much as the Totts, so they'll presumably want their team to ship double figures against Shitty.

Oblomov24 · 14/05/2024 20:57

1/2 time. Spurs played ok. Won't be goal-less though.

Goonergirl14 · 14/05/2024 20:58

CobsNobs · 14/05/2024 20:49

Sorry thought you meant Sunday's game..Will be enough as long as heaven forbid we don't mess up on Sunday and Man City win by about 9 goals..hubby is a West Ham fan too so will be cheering on the hammers, they aren't great but are due a win!

Honestly at this stage we just want to stop losing 🤣

KezzaMucklowe · 14/05/2024 21:02

Begrudgingly, yes.
I'm hoping city don't come out strong like they usually do in the second half.
It's tense.
