I never in my life thought I’d be cheering on Spurs but oh my god, I’m so desperate for them to pull off a win tonight! My nerves are in shreds 😅

My husband (Arsenal fan) is acting like someone told him to choose between amputating a limb or never getting another erection🤣

If you have to rely on another team winning it for you then do you really deserve it?

DialSquare · 14/05/2024 21:51

Spursy would have been them winning tonight and giving us a chance at the title and then losing the last game to hand 4th spot to Villa.

murasaki · 14/05/2024 21:52

Spurs being Spursy again shocker. Not.

Anyone would think that Villa are invisible given all the press round Spurs and 4th place. Dp is a Stockport fan, they won League Two but you'd be forgiven for thinking Wrexham did given the press. We are the invisible football household!

Yes Arsenal have definitely deserved it this season. It's football, anything can happen .

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 14/05/2024 21:57

Oh well, I didn't really expect anything else to be honest.

"What do we think of Tottenham!"

Yes, of course! Every team needs the other teams around them to lose, that’s how the premier league works! Villa needed Tottenham to lose to get 4th place, Forest needed Luton to lose to keep them safe etc etc.

Drawing would have been fine for 4th, but otherwise I fully agree.

Spurs weren't awful. Man City were just better.

EveryOtherNameTaken · 14/05/2024 22:15

Typical Tottenham shit. Consistently useless 🙄

Yes they were.

tobee · 15/05/2024 01:04

Just feel crap for the future of the game if city win the title again. I don't actually begrudge the fans because they were second team in Manchester for so long. But it's just so nakedly about money. More than before. Doesn't matter if it's another team with tons of money who go an a streak.

My dc are Liverpool/Klopp fans and my nephews are Arsenal. Another disappointing end to the season.

AlwaysTheRenegade · 15/05/2024 01:06

Sorry suckers 😂💙
I'm surprised Ortega got MOTM though, although I only read the updates and didn't watch.
Even Piers Morgan said he was hoping Tottenham would win.
City for the win, but both played well

YouOnlyCameToSeeEboue · 15/05/2024 20:19

Oh well, I guess we're all Hammers at the weekend!
