I was flicking through thinking it was nice and wondering what the issue was until the last photo!
Im questioning why they chose to include that last photo in the listing!

TokyoSushi · 14/05/2024 09:07

I saw this earlier, yikes!

TroysMammy · 14/05/2024 09:08

Penlan!

Wendysfriend · 14/05/2024 09:10

Mother of God 😮😮😮 I guess they're preparing potential buyers that they may encounter some vigilantes.

Circlingthesun · 14/05/2024 09:12

See what you mean Altho I do like the house

PandaCwtch · 14/05/2024 09:13

I think you are obliged to disclose to potential buyers if you have had issues with your neighbours. I guess it's a very up front way of doing that. 😕

Bjorkdidit · 14/05/2024 09:15

I wonder if it's been sold with no chain because the previous owner(s) have other accommodation for the foreseeable.......

I did wonder that

Great value for money but you don't want vigilantes hanging around the house - assuming that the previous owners were what they were accused of.

One of my neighbours works for a pharma company and the animal rights protesters accused him of child sexual abuse and we had a police presence in the road for a few weeks. Not that I ever saw anyone who looked dodgy. Interestingly I had a job interview at the same company a few years before that and was accosted by animals rights people. I didn't take the job when it was offered.

I wonder where the money goes if you have a long sentence. Does it get taken to pay for your "stay".

It does look like a lovely property, plenty of light and space, just needs a bit of work and probably a billboard out the front saying "New owners, no connection to previous"

LakeTiticaca · 14/05/2024 09:18

Nice house well priced with a huge garden. Someone will buy it. Probably the way to solve the problem is to join the local Facebook groups and post that you are the people who have bought the house and you have no connection whatsoever to the previous inhabitants .

TheNameIsDickDarlington · 14/05/2024 09:18

Wow.

I'm guessing they thought people wouldn't go through with the viewing if they drove up and saw that, so are weeding out those people before the viewings.

I have to say it would put me off massively, I'd worry that someone could target the house after I'd moved in, not knowing there were new owners.

YaMuvva · 14/05/2024 09:19

OMG 😱

Runningonempty01 · 14/05/2024 09:23

I'm more shocked that there are still places in the UK where you can buy a 3 bed semi that looks in reasonable nick for £125,000 . A bit of paint and a bit of local social media campaign to show you are not connected to the previous owner. There is always the possibility they were innocent victims of a hate campaign and it would make me concerned about the level of anti social behaviour in the area.

Emmerald · 14/05/2024 09:23

It would definitely put me off! I must admit I was thinking it was nice sized rooms, decent garden etc then that last picture...

CeeJay81 · 14/05/2024 09:26

It's not just the graffiti that would put me off but the fact that's one of the rough areas of Swansea. That's also why it's so cheap.

Hobbes8 · 14/05/2024 09:32

Has a photo been removed? I can’t see what you’re all seeing.

Theres a very nice refurbed house near me that’s up for sale at a reasonable price…but I remember when it’s windows were smashed in and “snitches get stitches” daubed on its walls.

banhmi · 14/05/2024 09:33

Am I missing something?! Can't see anything weird in these, last photo is of the garden?

Hairyfairy01 · 14/05/2024 09:33

It's too early for me, it looks lovely. Even the last photo after a bit of lawn mowing?

MermaidEyes · 14/05/2024 09:36

I can't see anything either. Where is the graffiti??

Did you look at the very last photo of the front of the house?

YaMuvva · 14/05/2024 09:37

Aaah the last photo has been taken down!!

To clarify: it was the front of the house and it had been spray painted with the words “pedo” and “nonce”

Wow no way! I was squinting at the last picture trying to understand what was wrong with it. I thought, ‘the garden is a bit messy but so what.’

Can’t believe the picture was taken down that quickly. The power of MN ey
